We thank you God for your good gift of life
with friends who help us understand & grow,
and keep aware of you in all the strife
we meet within this world, as you well know!
For you are who has made this world for us,
with earthquakes, cyclones, deserts and ice caps,
and rhinos, snakes, and octopi, and crocs,
Our antibodies aren't for naught, perhaps.
You made us with a need to learn to know
how we could best be rulers here for you,
and not just passive armchair folk who go
about with our desires ruling who
we then become, and what we do outside
within your world, our planet-island home.
I love that you have chosen to abide
(in judgment) on the things we've (said &) done.
And that your attitude is like a dad
or mum, who wisely trains their children to
help raise them to be adults who will glad-
ly finish up their training, under you.
And while I'm at it: Bodies which can heal !?!
Inhabiting these skin tents on this earth
is like God's tabernacle - to reveal
the presence of this God with folk from birth.
And now I see again the texture of,
or colour seen within, the wondrous signs
of Christ, they were Apprentice copies of
his Master/ Father/ Trainer's work - they're rhymes!
