view o' the world o' Yeshua

His "take" on all creation and this world

is that it is God's gift to us, a tent,

a place where we can grow, though we're  still curled

like foetuses within its walls, and bent.

And of all that he owns, because he thought

it up, and then designed, and made it be,

there is one part that he calls out, he's sought

to not determine, but to make it free

like him, to be good, not as services

and goods are good, designed and made quite well;

but like him, source himself of all that is,

to see more good come out of chaos-hell.

And we're not just his garden plants he likes,

or animals or pets that he might train,

he sees us as his very own small tykes,

so there might be gods on God's earth again.

But not like gods of mortal myth per-chance,

but baby gods who're like the God of gods,

and his own children, who'll learn how to dance

and take the care that's needed with all bods

to now display on this ol' Earth again

the nature of a Power that is love.

That does not shrink from suffering to gain

more comfort for the self, it's like a dove

that harries crows from chicks to, move them on,

give chicks a chance to grow up with their mum.

The story isn't over, hasn't gone.

But that was part of why Jesus had come.

Structure and function

Well God, you planned for something good that served
your purposes in its time in the world;
in this part of your globe now we have perved
and seen your goodness - little plants uncurled.

The good seed of your word of truth & love
has now been planted here within our lives
as harmless as that thriving shalom dove
with wisdom of the snake when it arrives.

The forms have functioned well right when they did
but new wine-skins are needed now at last
to carry God's new wine inside that's hid
in flexible adjusting kinds of flasks.

The wine-skin, like the tabernacle/tent,
is made from skins of animals that lived,
it doesn't work so well when torn or rent
apart, unless to pour all out- unseived!

And in that way the skin's repurposed when
it's grown upon an animal, but then
its use in holding stuff is once again
to carry good wine out to other friends.

So God, please give your spirit glad and wise
to build a thriving peace with God and man,
to pour your wine out as a hose, or pipes,
a special flask, that's special for it can

be carry-ing this wine to others too
- a wine that's vintage from a special year,
of special grapes and season, to those who
might start to celebrate, and raise a cheer!

to OWN, or be known?

Now, Do I ever truly Own my own

capacities, or insights into things?

It might be they've been given as a loan,

and I might be a "resting place for wings" -

alighting as they travel past an' on.

A way-place in a temp'ry world right here,

and now - like something light could shine upon,

continue on, and thus starts to appear.

Appearances are how we see at all,

essential to whatever humans quaff.

But knowing, like a finish-line race call,

relates to what appears, when starting off,

as does digestion to a pint of ale.

It has to be drunk to be taken in,

but when it is digested that's the tale

that's told. What happens when it's known? Begin

to see the diff'rents in the curtain's fall?

The warp and weft, the twist within the weave.

And do you then remember to recall

that we're not here for long. Do you believe? -

That even now, these second bodies are

not ours for very long, down here, at all.

We wake each morning. Wow. We've come this far!

A walk, in someone's garden, big or small.

Whatever I've "come by", is quite a treat.

And I can leave it razed right to the ground,

or else can keep that path beneath my feet,

and aid the beauty that I find around.

I don't Deserve my own capacities,  teachers, or insights into reality. They are pure Gift and Privilege, and even then, some are just on loan.

What about not only

  • capacities,

  • teachers, or

  • insights into reality,

but also

  • wife &

  • children,

  • relatives,

  • tribal group or clan,

  • culture,

  • society,

  • friends,

  • students,

  • world view,

1Cor4:7: "What do you have that you did not receive as a gift."; Luke 16:12: "And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you property of your own?".

does all things well..

Oh God, please give your grace and list'ning ears
to these your children, as they meet tonight,
that they might tune in to your hopes, and tears
(since you have truly grieved) yet done all right.

trust alright

How bless'ed are the ones who'll trust all right:
not works of Yahweh only (though they're good),
nor gifts, and children, of "Father of lights";
their confidence is placed right where it should

be placed: in him alone, the God of gods.
The one who trusts like this is like a tree
that's planted by the water where God trod,
so finds its roots in Eden, strong and free.

It does not fear when heat comes; for  its roots
are where they are, its leaves of various greens.
It finds that it is always bearing fruit,
sometimes when drought is all around it seems...

Be on your guard, stand firm within your faith-
as this tree's firmly rooted where it is,
within its ground of being - that's Yahweh -
the earth that is beneath, the garden his!

Be mighty, and be full of good fruit too,
courageous - let your love and kindness be
the motivating force in all you do,
a cheerful heart that's med-i-cine, and free.

Not spirit crushed, which dries up all  the bones.
"But if you live your life rooted in me..",
you'll find my life bears witness - and  atones,
"..my words will live in your hearts. You'll be free.

And you can ask whatever you would like
and it will truely come to you, you'll see.
My Father's glory shown in his small tyke,
a tiny model of his love to be."

So Jesus said. His Father's  glorified—
(in his disciples being their own selves)
"..in your becoming fruitful (not aside
from) being my disciples" -  doing well!

Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him alone. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”  Jeremiah 17:7-8 (PM Version)

Be on your guard, stand firm in your faith- in God.  Be mighty and full of courage- let love and kindness be the motivation behind all that you do!! 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (PM Version)

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.  Proverbs 17:22 (PM Version)

But if you live your life in me, and my words live in your hearts, you can ask for whatever you like and it will come true for you. This is how my Father will be glorified—in your becoming fruitful and being my disciples!! John 15:7-8 (PM Version)
