goods and services

All good things, emanate from a GOOD GOD1;

reminding us of this God as we look,

or else showing responses as a mod-

el of exub'rant celebration's hook

upon us as a picture in our minds,

which helps some people step up & play well

the part that is our own, as we then find

some evidence of2, in resisting hell.

The hellish kind of "wisdom" James speaks of3

is what comes in a world where God is not

existent4, or not knowable as love-

ing father5 (with whom all of life is what

is to be shared, like in that story6 where

the older, staying brother had his Dad,

and had the chance to share his life and cares

& celebrations of all that they had

(& dare I say, to learn from his old Dad,

instead of having separate lives and friends.

And he might gain his father's heart, which had

more room in it for making more amends).

But think of (in dismay) those brothers who

would really not begin to share with Dad,

their anger at another who might do

things diff'rently to them, and Father's mad

responses to his children who'd run off,

and tried to live referring not to Dad.

The consequences are drastic enough

if he persists as such a "knowing lad".

Good things made to aid worshipping God, if worshipped in and of themselves, instead of being used as portals, windows, doorways, conduits of relationship with God, can become idols, & in that a replacement for God, or an alternative god.. Then God, knowing how they can destroy us, out of love for us, will often destroy them, remove them from us, remove us from them, to sever our capacity to depend upon them…  e.g.

  • The Sun, as an indicator of the passing of time throughout a day.. (and energy source, etc..)7

  • The moon, as indicators of the passing of time in medium amounts, in months8, and to aid women generally (and the men related to them) to keep track of their menstral periods…

  • The stars, as indicators of the passing of time largely, in Seasons, throughout the year9..

  • The high places (on an Earth made (by God for us, and before us, with topography)10

  • Trees, made to stand tall, strong, and supple, in communities, that celebrate the entrance of the breath (spirit, wind) of God into the world, (which mediates the life of God, the mind of God, the presence of God) with dancing and waving arms11.

  • The Law, was meant to be the way or method (to give clearly described acts, words, attitudes, and motives by which the Israelites were enabled to respond to (& give something to) the God their nation had "married" (entered into covenant with), as a present (their loving obedience)12.

  • The bronze snake which God asked Moses to make, as a way to look (to him who made all snakes, and who had Moses make this one), and thus to be healed..13

  • The shrine (Tabernacle/ Temple), enclosing the images (of the God, i.e. the human priests), the altar & ark of the covenant and the practice of offering sacrifices to God there14..

  • The scriptures, and the practice of hearing, studying & remembering them, for the heeding of them - in practice15.

  • A land of their own in which to live quiet lives of responsible service to humanity16

  • etc.

1 Genesis 1, plus Jesus' statement quoting conclusions drawn from scripture: "There is none GOOD, but God alone".

2 the people of God were to be for all humanity "a kingdom of priests, meant to declare the praises of God to and for all humanity", and the psalms where all "the trees of the field will clap their hands, .. and dance, and wave, .. before the Lord who comes…"

3 James 3:6,14-16

4 e.g. the (dream) world, of some people: "The fool has said in his heart 'There is no God.'" (Ps  )

5 this is eternal life: to know you, and to know the one you sent, Jesus Christ." John 17:3

Sickness (of heart)..

Well God, how does all this stuff in your world,

work? Or another way to say it might

be: Wisdom from above speaks of the pearled,

bejeweled lovely ornaments or lights

to hold, or wear, with gladness in this life;

that is the insight, knowledge, understand-

ing and the wisdom - find-able and rife,

which must be sought, before they'll come to hand.

Discovery and holding-fast are part

of how we're truly owning, valueing,

and then to really treasure in our heart;

what could be seen as "granted" - by machine.

And if it's not an automatic thing

(dispensing mech-an-is-m, like in banks);

and if each good comes out of some loving

one's heart, and is received as such - with thanks,

then, not as script the first time actor reads,

but when they've let the character right in,

and start to be affected and to heed

some things, as their dramatic "self" has seen.

We'll start to really play the part, in life.

At first we can think that this world's the "real",

but as we go, his Dad-jokes coming by

feed to the sense of humour that we feel.

And "light" we saw as sterile "emf",

the knowledge, thinking, as computers do;

we come again to see as rainbows left,

as rays of sunshine, from the heart of YOU.

lover-ly lady

Good night dear girl.

Oh God thank you for your  presence with her,

your little daughter who's been in such pain.

We cry aloud and know that you concur,

your spurit teaches us to groan again

as little Bubba does, when words can't come

for lack of understanding on our part

(as does for Bub, then fart comes out the bum

and we cheer with the Bub who's in our hearts)

And you my lovely lady are loved too.

I know I often may not show it so

you see and understand, but know that you

are loved by many. Hope you'll really  know.

What Good News! Friendship. Whose?

We thank you God, for letting us become

involved in what you do, as child - your own,

to teach us love, & grow our minds, and some,

so we will be equipped to know/ be known*.

And thinking through that statement said by Paul;

that "we shall know as we ourselves are known",

we start to see relating might be all

important since the knowledge you have shown

us isn't really what's kept to yourself,

the number of the hairs upon our heads,

for we can't keep that from you, we can't help

you know it more. You know what's in our beds;

our lying down, our rising up, and more.

You know more facts about us than we do.

But when it's said to some folk, who'd ignored

their king (& father) that he "..never knew°"

them, diff'rent terms of speech are there employed.

This knowledge that you have is 'coz we share

a friendship, like a little girl or boy

develops in response to parents' care,

and tells their Mum or Dad what's in their heart,

the pains of body, and the grumpiness,

frustrations and the longings as they start

up and the journey's opened, though a mess,

to loving one, with all the stuff of life.

The stuff that friendships share is personal,

the kind of things a husband and a wife

might share, by ope'ning up, receiving  well.

*  "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 1 Corinthians 13:12 KJV

"But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Galatians 4:9 KJV

°  "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:23 KJV

God's way of life which..

God's Way of Life which…

responds to the call of suffering, honour, glory, & immortality by persisting in doing good°..

(Draft Audio at piano)

Who bears the burdens of each one of his1?

Who grieved that he had made these  humans2 .. yet

went on into the grief3, (the grief that is

drunk by that son of Adam4), and would let

those who would choose to use, and then forget

instead of then re-membering to do

the good5 (that would do what it could6, then set

itself to die9, and trust that love's the clue10)..?

He'd let them say, and do, what they could to

the world of his11 who dreams it so it is

a place where all his children might yet do

their part in showing off how they are his.

It's true he is the source of pow-er12 but

his good control that can make such machines

is not content with animals that strutt,

his children13 truly know what suff'ring means14..

The suffering of love that's light years past

the suffering that only grows from fear15.

He's not only the first, he is the last16,

his light can bend around and back, to cheer17.

The suffering of love is part and parc-

El of his way, at least where children grow18,

and that's before rebellion went so far-

so that the children's parents pay what's owed.

And when the children heed their Dad/ their Mum19,

they'll start to do again good deeds that show

the glory, honour, kind of life that's come

from him who is apparent20, whom they'll know21.

° Who will render to every man according to his deeds: to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: but unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; but glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: for there is no "respect of persons" with God. Romans 2:6‭-‬11 KJV

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:15‭-‬17 KJV

1 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Saviour, who daily bears our burdens.Psalm 68:19 NIVUK

17Both He, and his, bring cheer: (A cheerful event in a fearful torrent.)

  • And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. Matthew 9:2 KJV

  • "But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. Matthew 14:27 KJV

  • These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV

  • for they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid. Mark 6:50 KJV

  • And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.  … Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me. Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island. … Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat. Acts 27:22‭, ‬25‭-‬26‭, ‬36 KJV
