God help that bloke up there, who wants a mate
to have a go, and share his life of late,
and follow what you care for, not debate
about the wording of things that can wait,
but ser-i-ous-ly, learn to listen well,
with sense of humour, to your story tell,
for Jesus entered Earth (where we bring hell),
to bring to it the mirth of Most High El.
God, give Ol' Mate your grace
to know as he is known,
to love as he's been loved,
to show, as he's been shown.
