purpose

(per pose; persons pose)

Know that he’s looking at me through their eyes,

& let him keep looking at them through my own.

This, I can see is his master disguise,

as well as his means to team up - and atone.

Truly his fam’ly, his sons and his daught-

-ters shelter his viewing of ev’ry thing near.

But they’re allowed to join in with his sport -

ta look out with love for each other and cheer…

Not for determining “how they would choose”,

(simplistic’ly) meaning they can’t choose at all;

but for determining now he could lose

the wrestle with children, who’ll learn how to fall…

..Looking at Father & learning to lose

(with handicap more than what means he will win).

So we can grow (me and ev’ry one who’s

in truth his own) following where he has been.

Hearing his voice, not only his words,

and list’ning by choice, so our choosing could grow

carefully, consciously,

for we have heard

some music we’d like to join in with and go

out with, from fam’ly to those who have lost

some links to their fam’ly of origin which

gives joyous purpose to all that it costs

our Father’s the one who fell into the ditch…

Trav’ler from JewSaleM*, prodigal son*,

both quite down and out, but just love lets him feel

all that they feel. And it’s love makes him run

right up to them so that they might learn the deal.

Footnotes
M* - a story Jesus told about showing extravagant love to people in need: “A certain man was travelling from Jerusalem to Jericho… (see Luke 10:25-37)
n* -  a story Jesus told about  lostness: “There was once a man who had two sons, one … was seen as a prodigal (waster), one was a ‘goody two-shoes’ ”... (see Luke 15:10-32)
