Hold on,

dig down (and  out wide, & back) deep…

Oh now, to hold and learn and not impeach

some lessons of the day that is now gone.

First: action is the goal, not  thought or speech;

yet speech-act might ignite the light that’s shone*.

And as I tried to act this early morn

I found I'd missed my scheduled dates and plans

and God helped me to straighten up my form

as Trina asked me "When?” and "Where?” exams.

And then Ignatius (Antiochian),

about 130CE I recall,

from Ken who sat beside me, as the man

who was a rector, who’d now  met this Paul.

Then speaking of that book* that offered more

of ancient world-views, but could not speak to

the hemisphere that’s left in me. I’m raw -

delight, frustration, both come somehow through

its pages, yet it draws me on, I think

it’s been used now to open “symbol” up

to me. Most ancient world views saw the wink

in language of creation which erupts..

but this at first was just opaque to me,

as hose-shoe puzzle* seemed at first to be,

but as dimensions are made use of we

learn fresh ways we can do, what we can't see

at first, but paths can open, if we act.

And later on tonight, with “signature” -

I saw two ways to understand a fact.

Oh God you teach me, though I’m immature!

Halleluyah!

Footnotes
ne* - E.g. “Let there be light!”, & there was light… & another 6 times “Let…; & it was so.” (Gen 1)
k* - The Language of Creation, by Matthieu Pageau, 2018.
le* - A puzzle owned by Peter & Sophie, which I learned to do today, which work to allow you to get a ring of a contraption where it is stuck in the middle - by treating it as a 3-D puzzle instead of just working with it as a 2 D one. When taken that way it presents itself as an enigma, an impossibility.
