a reflective prayer
The shimmer curtains blue are pulled across..
but then the heavens true seem to us lost,
but shining possibilities seep through
from heavens up above, behind that blue.
When misty grey or white, or even black
drapes pull above us under blue at back,
the world seems smaller, light is undercut
but doesn’t mean we must think heavens shut;
this gives a chance for us ourselves though mortal
to be the channel, truly, yes, a portal.
So help us God.

An idea that came Sat morning (10/10/2026) over coffee at a friends’ place... (It felt like it needed to be nurtured to birth? - example 3 is now above):
In line with those Jewish prayers Jesus prayed... Getting a (or a couple of) simple, short, heart warming, truth speaking prayer(s) to start us off on any given adventure, to pray as we approach it (together with others in the same boat where possible. Then every family or household group have a go at putting it to a chant, or a Karta, or a song, ( i.e. adding a dimension to it), so that we end up with 7 or 10 usable versions between us, to help us set our hearts at the start of any specific adventure with some choice and variety built-in (after we learn each other's versions).
After that, we could work on one for our approach to our own death - restyled by Jesus, for his followers, as just another falling to sleep. (An offering towards that one too) … etc...
