Oh Lord there's still this trait'rous way in me,
that's tuned to other people, and is hooked
on having good I've done affirmed and seen,
and bad things just ignored, or overlooked.
It's trait'rous 'coz instead of looking straight
to you, the God of gods, from whom all GOOD*
has come to us before, but too "of late";
I focus on the last link, as one would
who knew no better. But I'm not that one,
at least in theory. Now I want to know
in my experience, both sad or fun,
just how to celebrate what good you grow

But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Yeshua Christ our Saviour, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. Designate a place outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself. As part of your equipment have something to dig with, and when you relieve yourself, dig a hole and cover up your excrement. For the Lord your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you.
Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent, and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. James 1:21 NIVUK
