For God it's pleasant/good, when at least two

What comes first - "faithful-hopeful-love" or "vision"?

O source of our love, & Heart of our hearts,
whatever befalls us, its end ain't its start.
Both eyes that can see, & vision that's true
are gifts here to "we", good gifts - all from You.

And sometimes Your gifts (I know this seems bad)
aren't so "object"-ive (though 'out-there' a tad);
a "subject"-ive gift, the gift of oneself,
friendship & marriage both use well, with health.

So made on purpose, relating to you;
it's your faithfulness that helps us be true,
& lets our hope grow, of what could become.
Love expressed both for us, when they were dumb.

Not just to others, also back to you-
in learning to pray, & keep watchful too;
to copy God's heart, who first "saw" the good,
as young Yeshua "gave thanks" where he stood.

Of all the things this Christ called some to do:
like follow him right through a cross of death;
& let go of my fear of people who
could kill me, make me suffer, lose my breath;

stretch out a withered hand (curled like a dish);
or take a donkey from the street unknown;
or pay the temple tax from coin in fish 
(you ha'en't yet caught on line - yet out you go);

or feed five thousand fam'lies "food for all";
evict foul spirits from folk in a place;
heal all the sick who're brought by the people;
resist like Yeshua, & keep your pace...

when a demonic legion comes screaming
towards you, after he said "Spirit out!"
and stick with him, while he prods for meaning;
or herald an alternate king about

in places where existing ones compete;
or walk on water from your boat to him;
take on his attitude to what's complete,
& who to hang out with, & welcome in.

Small wonder that those, following in his..
.. his footsteps, words, & life, and found them true -
to have the stength, & pow'r, boldness, & wis-
dom to accomplish what they had to do, ..

would say (like Paul), "I can do all things through
(this leader) Christ (whom God has chosen now),
who gives me all the strength I need to do
whatever he has called me to (somehow)!

wisdom counts (& knows when not to)

O teach us good Lord
to count as "reward"
the days we have stored
on this earth of yours,
that's in the presence
of our fam'ly since-
both "primal", and thence
the "model", recalls

the times we're aLive,
that's not just survive-
-ing, meanings increase 
with Love , joy, & peace;
help savour the days
we're hurtling through space, 
in roundabout ways, 
because it wil cease.

The fam'ly we've had
with you as our Dad
& all other "mad"
humans as siblings,
is modelled a tad
(if they're not too bad)
by fam'lies we've had,
without the quibblings. 

then see I that we,
would wiser far be,
for heart would impart
wisdom (from above),
to these little lives,
so more than bee-hives,
they'd not vainly strive
so, to show his love.

Sam, I'm sitting here, but know my "big boy"
is taking (both) our Father's family tree
and learning to much better there employ
the fam'ly ways of being that we see...

about us in his world sometimes around
the place, as we see likenesses of him,
& mostly in young Yeshua we found,
or more who found us out, & brought us in.

And he was not a trickster, who deceived, 
& "led us on", as Jacob 'was want to'.
He showed us how to be folk who believed,
& lived by what he saw his Father do.

O God we're immature, where we are now.
There's much we can not see, but we can trust,
like he did as he looked around about
and asked you for your wisdom, as he must

have done, since Luke said that he grew in it,
& James (his brother) told us what to do
when life showed us our lack: to first admit; 
& after that Look Up to the source who

saw us as bairns whom he would help to grow
[but in this case the present that he gave
could not be left upon the shelf - you know,
for it's a living thing (like pup). To save

it for a rainy day, not interact
& feed and get to know it at the time
would be the kind of thing (& here's a fact)
that misses out, and is worse than a crime].

So here we are, these babies* set to grow,
(so in this sense, don't think that you're adult)
& in this womb-world there's enough to show
us how to move ahead, not be a dolt!

But that's not saying there won't be much pain
and grief, for we have death within this womb,
so look to him, & then look back again,
for those who come alive, it's not a tomb.

So this, the start of all the new life here
(as child within the womb's still in the world),
yet things are not quite as they do appear,

Give thanks to God Almighty who just IS,
for He is good (& from him all good comes)
his attitude t'ward us is "We're his kids".
His "hesed" faithful love cleans up our bums,

but then continues on with all our cries,
& wees, & peukes, & immaturities,
his faithful love endures forever, wise!
And it is right to thank him for all these.

But then those other times come to our lives:
we ask for help to feel his blessedness
but only get more grief & deeper sighs,
till we learn how to mourne, ... & also bless.

When then you act, and also lift the load,
by bringing on your joy, even down here..
our thanks become a celebration mode
& all we want to do, is jump and cheer!

So in the end, as Paul said to some friends,
in every circumstance good will be there
already, else it's on it's way (which wends
about a bit, - as seen from on our chair).

If our part in this great game is to see
the good that is around*, we'll need some eyes,
for that matter we'll need for us to be
alive, no matter what's our starting size.

Then we'll look back to the source of the good
(especially what has benefitted folk),
and thanks will be the starting place that could
lead on to other responses. No joke!

trust or bust

The Lord is the eternal God, & he's
creator of all of the earth & seas,
(& sky above, & heavens round about
- dimensions that are filled with friend and lout:

the angels, drones, botts, worms, exploits, & mals,
the micro, macro, heavy particles
& light that waves & rays, & ra-di-ates
with alpha, beta, gamma as its mates,

& demons, spirits, winds, & attitudes,
that influence the culture & the dudes
(& dude-esses, in diff'rent ways of course).
And he knows all about the Trojan Horse.

He never grows weak, wearies, like atoms,
his understanding no one else fathoms.
And he gives power to weak & baseless things,
and too protects his chicks under his wings.

He set up life and growth - development,
delights to strengthen powerless, that's his "bent".
And so he'll be my rock, and also strength,
and saviour of me now, & then at length!

And so as Jesus taught, I'll "keep pray-ing"
recalling that he's present in my brain,
an invocation to this world within
where I have some control - to conquer sin

(that virus of the soul that causes death).
He added "don't give up", with baited breath.
So I will take advice from one who knows,
and let you do that re-set. Well, here goes!

O God, I want, like Peter said, to not
be scared to die with you! And now I see
that that's what you have called me to -(a lot -

Your death upon that cross was not a thing
you needed to do, in the way I do!
I'd run as frightened rabbit (never sing)
if that's where things were pointing - & I knew.

but he is walking forward  - Jesus style,
his big heart full of who'll help Mum - stay near?

And still he didn't need this, but I did!
This slow and painful death on earth of "me",
yes li'le ol' me - a zombie, with a "lid"

Well, freely shining on us like the sun
and by it we see most of what we do.
Too near, and "Woe is me, for I'm undone!"
Unless you "resurrect" this body new.

O God you're first and foremost in heaven

We're glad your house YOU made, where you reside,
accomodates us too, for we're its priests.
It feels so homely, here inside your "hide",
these bodies you've loaned us, for now at least!

But still we're groaning till our eggs are cracked
and chick-hens like their dad come home to roost
and start to live (as bigger worlds unstack)
& metaphores must change to swan (or goose?).

My Father, & my God & King, my Hope,
I feel so hollow & so lacking love.
How do you do what's needed to fill up
a skin that's hollowed or that's stuffed with shoved

compulsive things, that  maintain or protect
a self that's weak and pow'rless to do good.
I s'pose I don't need to know (or suspect),
as much as see & recognize what stood

in front of me (that's even in the past
when time was needed, so to re-a-lize,
put two & two together), so at last
I'd vote for good and act, not paralysed

forget to see, & fearfully give up,
or quivering be helpless in God's space.
And even now recalling that, abrupt-
-ly brings me into quite another place.

And when I start to thank the source of all
the goodness that I've had to do with here,
it doesn't matter that I feel appalled,
for still I get his "Peace" when he comes near.
