Oh God! You are my rock, and fortress too,
refuge & strength, my map and compass, you
are able in your son (our Number One)
to give at length, through human hist'ry's spun
tales, which are meant to be myths - which implies
they'll shed their meanings to obedient eyes,
and ears and hands and feet, and minds as well
(if they aren't told by who are sons of hell),
in order to help list-en-ers to learn
to live along the ways that we would journ-
ey if we walked beside creative love,
to bring into this world, come from above,
the kind of helps that have a chance to work
with our own children (not send them berserk,
but), bring the calm and order for a life
where peace & quiet, thriving, rest, are rife!
So this world, (and us too! - we'd gladly add)
are yours, for you to do with as you will.
The starting place for us, since you're our Dad,
is to let your will reign in us, untill
you bring it, broader, deeper, higher yet
within the world around us, and it's clear
from scripture that you aren't beyond "a bet"*,
you still want us to rule your way down here.
And I have seen you do your work through those
around me, the last days within this town.
It's like they listened to you, and then chose
to live your Way°, instead of upside down!
(Pray)…for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 1 Tim. 2:2 NIVUK
* God's wagers with the Satan in the book of Job. (And God is aiding and abetting us at every dimension we let him, "For it is God who is at work within you, helping you to want to do, and then to actually do, his will - "his good pleasure".")
○ God's Way: Jesus himself, is God's 3 dimensional "Message" or "Word" to us, as to God's attitude to us (initiating, but not compelling, love), and model of our attitude to God ( responsive trusting love), and our attitude to and in life (meekness, complete open-ness, chosen contentment within the will of God).
