Helping hurts

... As some of you know, Our friend and neighbour Bob Scott was killed by a tree on his farm 2 weeks ago. His wife Merrilyn was away with one of their daughters in Bathurst and was worried that she had not heard from him since the day before. She rang me and asked me to look for him. I went to their farm with another neighbour and found him killed by the tree.

This has been a huge grief for many people and us. I'm still recovering from the trauma and taking each day as it comes. We sense God has put us here for this time but it is still hard.

what to say?

Thank you God

for this way

of showing

your love there

through the tears

of Chris and Nair.,

& going

to the farm

in that ute(?)

finding harm,

comforting

fatherless

and widow

in distress.

Please comfort

them also,

to pass on

what they know

of your help

and comfort

as your priest

or prophet

to who mourns

loss of part

of body,

even heart.
