So when we get involved in bringing life
to God's good world to see the good, and thus
to share his grief when selfishness is rife,
and it's potential”s lost with all our fuss
about our rights that have not been upheld,
and all the work that we must do to see
that we’re not overlooked and left in hell,
our clamouring and grasping to save “me”.
And when I'm confident I've been “okay-ed”
I'll be your saviour too (make sure you clap!),
it seems to loan me purpose, accolades
can help me bustle on, as “quite a chap”!
So when we get involved, the other way,
in bringing life to God's good world to know
through all its pain and troubles, and deflates,
a living deeper joy that will not go,
Then something happens in our cold dead heart,
the soul that's been unconscious, opens eyes,
for someone spoke our new name, we can start..
to see the good, and then to not despise
the day of very small things, when we can't
see how they work together to bring good.
And learning to be grateful, have our heart
right pierced through, ‘coz we did what we should,
and crying, we continue hanging out
with others in this Earth-womb with constraints,
‘coz this life isn't what it's all about.
Yeshua showed the way, without complaints.
