Ok, if you do, but we'll still miss you.
Thanks for your wishes. God may his come true.
Catch us as fishes, and may we be food,
Thanks for your wishes. God may his come true.
Catch us as fishes, and may we be food,
to all the weaker ones, just as you do!
Yeshua caught us, like caterpillars,
are after a while caught in their web-tomb.
May we not be so fearful of chrys'lis,
with un-faith t'wards life's gifts - which seem our doom.
So we embrace now our end in this life
(which he has led us to see as a womb,
that must be exited, with & through strife).
Death to our comfort; and life, like a moon
reflecting sun-light into dark places.
May life from you be lived here too, through us.
in supermarkets, streets, bus-stops, spaces
where'er we live, with neighbours and with fuss
and bother, and with hopes & dreams & fears.
We open up to you these lives, these "whiles",
and pray for your own life to clean our smears,
as washer makes the face of children's smiles
look clean and bright and perfect in our eyes
espec'ly when they try to please, and we've
done work behind the scenes to not despise
the small things, building disciplines that weave
a basket that can carry quite a lot
more than their hands unaided could well do.
The disciplines can aid us, like a pot,
or shoe can do to carry back to you. ...
