God, help this man
in life to show
the way we can
live here below,
as your young son
who loves his Dad,
who will have "fun"
(though life is bad)
because love won!
Take heart there Dan.
Lift up your eyes,
and look again,
do not despise
a child's smile when
she know's she's loved,
and you know too
that from above
de way for you
is not to shove,
but take His way
(that feels like death),
say as he'd say
"Thank you for breath
and life today."
And so I do
thank God for you,
and pray you'll stay
true there today,
a little kid,
who'll do as bid!
- Not 'coz he's scared,
but more he dared
to be the child
he is, who's wild
