May you be strengthened from God's boundless resources, so that you will be able to pass through any situation and endure it with courage and joy. Colossians 1:11 (PM Version)

If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? —Jeremiah 12:5

I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me, freeing me from all my fears. Psalms 34:4 (PM Version)

May you be given strength
from God's boundless resources,
so you may come at length
to be able to run with horses,

if it’s that God chooses
(he’ll be your vindication),
everything he uses,
and helps through any situation

if it’s that we’ve sided
with him, & asked to work with
him, and then decided
to contribute, and not to shirk with

the time that we’re given;
then we know we’ll be going
where folk have been driven
in desperation. We’ll be showing

God’s love, for it’s needed
right there, and that’s where God is,
for their cry he’s heeded
& wants to help endure with courage

and also with deep joy.
It’s there I prayed to the LORD,
and he answered this boy,
freeing me from all my fears galore!

  1. Father, up above, Im
    Counting on you now,
I need you to be with me.
    As this story here unfolds.

    Listening is just the ticket,
    When it's to your voice.
I heard that hearing may be built,
    obeying is the choice,

which will in time reveal its strength, foundational to this,
    Adventure that we're working on,
I trust in you at length.

Luke 6:46-49 Good News Translation (GNT)
    The Two House Builders
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and yet don't do what I tell you? 47 Anyone who comes to me and listens to my words and obeys them—I will show you what he is like. 48 He is like a man who, in building his house, dug deep and laid the foundation on rock. The river flooded over and hit that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But anyone who hears my words and does not obey them is like a man who built his house without laying a foundation; when the flood hit that house it fell at once—and what a terrible crash that was!”
