heart's home..

Thus will your hearts be comforted, and knit
together in the love which God has spread
around quite lib’rally, more than a bit,
& you’ll be blessed with riches then instead

of money and the offerings of stuff:
the riches of the God who made this world,
formed matter but then that was not enough,
his children were his pinnacle unfurled.

As though his greatest riches were his children
who'd grow up to be like their father is,
(this is the kind of "house"* he was buildin').
He thinks in terms of fam'ly not just whiz-

bang games, and bricks and mortar, which is gone
within a century or two from now,
his children are the “things” that carry on!
And that’s God’s secret value-set somehow,

the revelation that his re-al “gold”
is not the stuff that we call by that name
(which will be used as pavers I've been told),
he thinks his children are his treasure - same!

And that’s the revelation of his Christ,
the one who makes him pleased, to really smile.
And he said that creative love sufficed,
if we would learn to trust it all the while.

So dig out all that evil unbelief#
that makes you unresponsive to such one,
yet will believe a robber or a thief,
I want to live like your true loyal son!

* e.g. David wants to build a house for God, but God responds with "Not you, but your son!. For I am going to actually build YOU a house! - The House of David! (offspring, a Dynasty, a lineage, an on going family, who continue having children!). And at the end of Mark 12 & beginning of ch 13, Jesus essentially draws his disciples' attention to a person, saying "Look! This person just led the whole of Israel ( God's people) in responding to God, living their life in God's presence, sharing their everyday life with him and trusting him. That's what House and home, and temple and tabernacle are all about!" & the next story is the disciples overcome by the enormous rocks that make up that temple, which the Messiah does away with and instead these bodies (both individually, and collectively) are to become the house, or temple of God!

# "unbelief", not in the Greek-ish way of not believing an agreed on set of dogmas or "beliefs", but unbelief in that Hebrew mindset, of ( for some reason, maybe fear etc), not continuing to trust a trustworthy person (like an inventor, or designer, or doctor, or officer, or coach, or mentor), when you need to, but don't fully feel like it.

May your hearts be comforted, being knit together in love. As you are wonderfully blessed with complete understanding of the riches of God and experience the revelation of His great mystery- Christ!! Colossians 2;2 (PM Version)

Search your heart every day, my brothers and sisters, make sure that none of you has evil or unbelief in your heart. For it will lead you astray, and make you unresponsive to the living God. This is the time to encourage each other, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. Hebrews 3:12-13 (PM Version)
