heed a leader

So let us celebrate and give thanks to

the God and Father of our Mentor, Coach,

God’s “Leader of Humanity” -  Christ, who

has been well trusted, boss beyond reproach.

He put his life and money on the line.

His daily service was for greater good.

His rule of love, is what we’d call “sublime” -

& not just surface stuff, but as we should

quite like to be ruled over, as our "head".

Because of His great mercy God gave us

new life by raising Jesus from the dead.
This fills us with a living hope because

when we are joined to him, who looked a fool,

like him we welcome God's reign and God's rule,

the Kingdom of the God who loves un-cool

folk who are his own kids, though they are who’ll

all recognize what’s good around about,

and work for peace, to see all people thrive,

& share the joy of God, who is a lout,

(forgetting some politeness rules), alive

to what will really grow the greatest good.

His people will put first things first, before

they satisfy their thirst (as most folk would),

and God is pleased as he said in his lore,

and people too will often recognize

a something worthy of respect and love,

as when Yeshua grew up undisguised,

before they heard that he'd come from above.
