whose muse imbues

From Simon Peter, servant of God's Christ,
and Jesus’ Ambassador he sent! -
To those who through a very precious tryst
have tasted Faithfull Goodness as they spent

their time with God, and Saviour - Jesus Christ,
have learned to mirror back, & pass it on.
They find the grace and peace that comes suffice
to handle life as his friends here, an’ on.

They’ve come to live right here, with him as boss,
as King, & God, and Lord of all the earth.
They find his pow’r-divine 's not at a loss
but is enough to recreate, through birth,

to grow a godly life within this mess
because (of course) he hasn't gone away,
he’s stuck around (with some mysterious-ness)
and let's them grow to know him more each day!

And more than that, it’s he who keeps wooing
and calls them back to tryst with him often.
The glory and the goodness that’s ensuing
is some proof that his promises go on,

and that he keeps his word in private “meets”,
he's not ashamed to claim “fam'ly liking”
(that we're his siblings/children) in the streets,
and help us to stand up, in ways striking-

-ly like the way he stood himself against
corruption in this world, caused by our lust
for living “as we want to” - quite unfenced!
Oh God, you are so faithful that you trust!

Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:  Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.  His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.    2 Peter 1:1‭-‬4 NIVUK  http://bible.com/113/2pe.1.1-4.NIVUK
