The Woman, Jesus' daughter.

(based on Mark 5:24-34)

(KT, GYL, & PW; edited by PW; audio recording of original version in foyer)

1. Then Jesus walked along with Jairus,

but many people came

along with Him and crowded them,

because of Jesus's fame.

2. And one of them's a woman who

had suffered terribly

from bleeding throughout 12 long years.

Doctors took her money.

3. But instead of getting better,

she worsened all the time.

Putting all her hope in Jesus,

she crept up close behind.

4. If I just touch his clothes she thought

I think I will get well.

She touched his hem, her bleeding stopped,

she felt inside herself....

5. that her troubles were all ended.

Right away Jesus knew

that pow-er had gone out from him

he turned round, spoke out to...

6. the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?"

His followers answered;

"You see the people crowding you,

so how would we know who?"

7. But Jesus kept on looking 'round

to see who'd done this thing.

The woman re-a-lised she's found

out, so comes trembling

8. with fear and kneels down at his feet

and tells her story whole.

Then Jesus says to her "My child,

your faith has made you well.

9. so go in peace and now be free

from all these troubling things."

The woman goes off gratefully,

she skips along & sings!
