Christ's attitude...

Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. Oh God we want this attitude of Christ's

to be our own, and his own view of life.

So nothing else will do, or will suffice

'till you are Lord, in sickness and in strife,

as well as times that feel quite good, and are

We ask for help to look full at the star

whose light makes life on Earth more than a hell.
