A new babe born to family..

How good is that! A new born babe has come.
Fresh from the Father's heart, into this world.
To Darnell and Dianne is born a son,
and Trevin's baby brother is uncurled.

Oh God please give this fam'ly your great love,
and patient grace, and wisdom too as well,
to take this little gift from you above,
and care for him as though your son now dwelt

right there with them within their fam-i-ly.
We KNOW that's not quite true, and yet it IS,
for Jesus' word (heard exegetic'lly)
about "the least of these" gives some of his

mind on the matter to us here today.
He's teaching his disciples his true love.
As they give of their bodies in this way,
and blood, sweat, tears, we know you smile above.

Amen.
