All in a day's work! - & play..

We left that home upon that hill and met

a painting man ol' Jean Henri Agius,

then travelling to Bilambil Heights to get

a ramp for fam'ly Read (some friends of us)

we wondered what was up ahead on road,

and wandered up the road - found the road-works!

We read the sign "New England.." that was stowed 

beside the brown-grey fields, these words seemed quirks!

And some folk said how "Friday is a week 

day. No, I think it's strong, to be strong 

on. 

To lift 200 kilos." So to speak.

"If you be blind, SEE that you don't  hear wrong!"

We came upon some road blocks, and the ute

began to roar, for it could idle not.

But after help from helpers it was beaut

again and went quite well. It did the shot!

Then 25 instead of 24

helped us to get the ramp & other stuff.

and 18 took us to a Brendanthorne 

Place, whence we ate out, (till we'd had enough!)

with Paul's old Dad & Mum, who showed God's love

and hopefulness, because they learned to see,

and pass on care, the kind that's from above,

along with Austin's hospitality.

We learned that when you've picture ba-na-na;

it's only THEN you bend, and peel, and eat.

I watched a group of horses coming up

towards a gate, and thought how "love is sweet!"

• GO FOR LOVE.

& when you fail for lack of wisdom, ask the source of creative love for help. Then you will learn to trust that source, and your built in connection to it, and you will find secret back doors out of situations designed to crush and exterminate you, or to corrupt your will to forget, or give up on love, and you WILL learn to love.

• Label what I keep, or reduce the amount to an amount my brain CAN recall, say two boxes worth.

• Please send to your parents one or more of those presentations on how to live impelled by & responsive to the holy spirit of creative love.

At core, here for.. what more?

 

I woke one early morning, three or four,

recalling what creative love would do

to seek out who's responsive at their core

to such creative love as made all who 

would have un-rest within themselves regard-

-ing how things are around, and what they're for.

Folk who, when things are difficult or hard

won't just give up, lie back upon the floor

or bed, re-treating so to numb the pain,

but, like a child, reach out, or cry for more

of what is good, and pure, and brings on gain,

and in this way slough off a year, or score.

For when creative love's connected to

this Earth through hardware made to take it in

and live it out, there ain't no telling who

could be it's carrier, or not. Begin-

-ing with a girl-child who can't do much work

to build the GDP of town or state

but could, in time, embody, not just shirk

creative love's own covenant of late.

The change within the universe between

two "opposites" (as often folk perceive)

the matter of creative love, not seen

as product, but beloved, who could receive

the seed of such creative love, en-soiled

so secretly this living love might grow

and multiply, allowing joy that's coiled

around creative love, be known, and know!

sickness, healing and death..

Hi, Here is a request for a friend’s family. A young family faced with 

1-The7yr old daughter has just been diagnosed with throat cancer and the Mum went to look after her in a capital city. 

2-Then Mum collapsed, but not with exhaustion as first thought, but a virus in heart muscle, and may need a transplant- she’s in icu sedated in a different hospital. 

3-And for dad with 3 other children and grandma in hospital with the sick daughter.

folk, help this fam'ly in their time of need.

How can we join with you who is so quick

to listen, look, and hear their cry in deed.

I s'pose that one thing you have done is send

you daughter Sandy to connect with them;

do now help us to pray, act as a friend

of you, and them; as your children would tend

to see people and things as you do too.

We'd love for that to be true of us who

now name the name of Jesus as we do.

Oh God, please help my brother there tonight,

and in the days that follow coming up, 

to keep his nerve and trust you when it's tight,

to bring to birth & grow good which erupts

from your own children, and their children too,

as they in turn attempt to do what you

have done before and now would with them do;

to make more space where chaos is eschewed,

and goodness, as an ecosystem thrives.

As fish and birds which swim through sea and air,

and insects, plants, & animals arrive

so gladly they'd together live and share,

espesh'lly when they're ruled by minds which love,

to bring all logic under that first cause.

Please work through both the wings of your own dove,

a dove which holds out promise in it's claws.

How do I tell Jesus' stories to people I meet this week?

Following Jesus's method, not just his words!

• Look up! - to the mountains, and to the heavens. Where will my help come from? 
• Look out! -at God's world around me. Notice what happens, & what is happening.
• Look at them, the people God has sent me to, and sent to me. And look into their eyes, with his love.
• Expect God to give me a story from this world of his, for this child of his, to be his gift for them, and 
• Tell it to them, then, & there!

How do I tell the stories of Jesus 

to people whom I meet today, this week?

I tried to learn the stories that seize us,

that he told, or about him. Give a peek

of these, to folk I meet with, in this place -

the other side of Earth, and some time hence.

I saw tonight, that those stories should grace

the ears of those who ask for what things meant - 

so, they have caught a bit, and ask for more. 

Those stories from the gospels are for me.

Reposit'ries, and birthright, they're my store.

I need to follow him more, now I see.

And as he told his stories, to those folk,

by using stuff from ev'ry-day life then*,

evangelists who followed him, too spoke

in stories, of that life lived among men.

So when I follow, not just words, but ways;

I will look up, as Jesus did, himself.

I will look out upon this world, this space,

and get to know it well, to speak with health.

Then I'll look in their eyes, to let the love

of God himself - look through mine into theirs,

expecting God to give me from above,

a story for his children. He who shares.

He is the one I'll follow. So I'll tell

what stories he gives to me for their sake,

both then and there. The stories will do well

what Jesus knew they could - bring folk awake!

*  Regarding Jesus' teaching to the crowds, Mark (ch 4, & similarly Matthew - in chapter 13) writes for us:

“The crowd that gathered round him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge. 2 He taught them many things by parables, and in his teaching said: "Listen! …"” (Mark 4: 1f) Mark follows this with about 5 of Jesus’ parables (about events and happenings in everyday life around them) which finish with commands, or encouragements to listen, like: .‘Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear. (v9,26-26)’ then Mark makes this statement: “With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand.  He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.” (Mark 4:33f)

   we rest,

   we do not work,

   for God loves us..

   We say 

   "We're blessed!", 

   we do not shirk

   responding to such love.

We know such love brings pleasure good, that multiplies itself.

Its nature that would treasure would not ever lose its health.

It doesn't have a need for other energy, or wealth.

Its energy comes from itself, as seed that grows in stealth…

We trust in his provision, to enable us to do this.

Mostly, but not only, through our work 6 days a week.

His sabbath is provision for us, seeding lives like his.

We know from his creation, his word brings on what we seek. 

He separates, then fills the gap. Ah, matters, what he gives!

What comes from his own mouth's the sap that grows each tree from start.

His breath of life's the "mouth to mouth" that makes the dry bones live.

His kiss of welcome, and his word, sings us into his heart.

His strong commands are there to shower "deep joy" from above.

And they are outcomes of, and lead us into, that great love.

Actions from that love, with love, for love, through love, are loving.

And love brings its own energy, that differs from our "shoving".

This love calls us to do much work not "for us, or some rule",

it's what love does to let belove'd know they are "really cool".

So when we do the work of love, it's not for us at all,

and it is good to do such work on th' Shabbat of the Lord.

[I actually think that the Hebrew mindset seems to me to have in it the seeds of the best of the Western mindset, with the introduction and maintenance of WISDOM as a valid asset to move forward with... (the tree of the knowledge of Good & Evil aka "& you will become wise" was God's, not the devil's. It's just that in God's garden the other trees gave (some of) their goodness to humanity by "eating their fruit", this one was to give it by "NOT eating the fruit" (especially, when they desired to).]

Hey do you know what version Ann-Marie Richards used for her song for Phillipians 4:4 "delight yourself in the Lord, yes, find your joy in him at all times..." ?

I like it best because instead of "rejoice in the lord always" it says "find your joy in him"... the idea that you have to seek it and find it. And maybe it's through the choice to delight that we find it... 

I guess you can choose to rejoice too, but I like the 2 step process of delight and then find joy. 

I've really enjoyed thinking more about the sweetness of … (the 10 words) ... thanks.

What other things have I delighted in? 

Well lately I have spied within the trees

around this place, a change in colours win-

ning dominance, perchance this contest seize-

es our imaginations which are apt

to make a race, or contest, war, or game

(depending on whether we feel we're trapped,

or free to choose, all lives are not the same -

for even with the same ol' DNA,

and circumstances, folk can diff'rent be.

Our mindset (What we look for? Who's to blame?)

will set us "grateful" or "grumpy" to be!

So I have been delighting in the plain

profound and simple joys that come along

into my world as gifts from who's to "blame"

for ev'ry good, complete thing that is strong,

that lives and breaths the patient breath of life,

the essence of our life, our loves & joys,

and thriving ecosystem which is rife

with outcomes of the disciplined good choice.

The song that I would learn to sing, to mean..

(instead of just "to mean to learn to sing"),

the sights and sounds and stuff that makes good dreams

the choices to recall what stuff will bring

the kind of life that God might hope for here,

the kind of dreams he'd have, and might too share,

dey bring de light of love quite close, quite near.

He said* "let there be light"; de light was there!

* Some Mystical Jewish followers of the G*d note that there are ten WORDS (or utterances) associated with Creation (as well as the namings), which somehow corresponds to the TEN WORDS (the Jewish designation of the Ten Commandments). Tying this together with that statement from the Torah, "Man shall not live by bread only, but by everything that comes from the mouth of God", makes me think that what comes from the mouth of God, his breath (spirit, wind) (as in mouth to mouth resusitation ), his kiss of welcome, his gentle whisper, his stark command, are all the things worth holding onto and allowing de light dat dey bring to bring delight of life and love to our souls.

The covenant of kinship

God help this man "Un-named" to more live in

not just his lady, but also his God;

- to let who cares, provides for & loves him

give all Himself so he might just respond.

So help this one, "Un-named", initia-

tor, come quite quick, responding to this love

enjoying all your pleasures. No dicta-

tor, such a lover, wooing from above.

And I would learn to be quite quick, as well

might one who has received your love and grace;

it's out of this world's influence - dispelled

by even once, in tale, "seeing" your face.

Oh how amazing, to find love & strength

within the face of Jesus, as my God

and Lord, my Father here on Earth, at length

ascended to the heavens, doing "What?"

He said he would be building up a home,

rebuilding temple of the living God.

Build up your lady, like him. Do not roam.

Come back and live with in your home. And nod, ..

the nod of one who does not give a damn,

because he'll never give his "dam" away.

A "ram" who would learn love, and be a man

like his own Father who had thus displayed

the scorn of pain, and suffering themselves,

for reasons of a higher greater joy.

Oh God give us your spirit, essence, health

since you treated us as, called each, "My boy"!
