O my soul, fretful and scared,
wait patiently for The Lord -
for one who has showed he cared
in the past, he is not bored.

Like the woman of a man,
God will do ten other things
(while the man begins to plan).
"Offers" - good, but then "Waitings"

- must be done quite patiently
for the partnership to work.
So it is with God & me;
he's the helper, I can't shirk

my part, to wait patiently
so our company is blessed,
when we are together he
does the Work, I do the Rest!

But partnership of this kind
is not your average business,
it's built on Love (which ain't blind)
it sees more than the world does...

So such pictures from this life:
"husband-wife", or "parent-child"
help us navigate the strife
as loveless business grows wild.

So we can be strong and brave.
He will give you courage too - 
wait patiently & behave,
for The Lord is right with you.

i'll miss our meeting up this Fri, but

May any of you who meet,
be blessed, & build your friendships
with any who truely greet
for peace' sake, and to lend scripts,

which help give men new options
and help the story come good
with loving, true adoptions
of friends, and habits that would

more fully, truely, reflect
those of the Son of Adam
who loves all folk, and rejects
the rotten flies that gad 'em.

gilbert's birthday was yesterday

Gilbert is having a Birthday!
(that’s not quite true right now:
born ‘89, but yesterday
was when he made his bow)

So, he’s now turned 27
- years on this earth that is -
this could be the start of heaven
(I think that Way is his).

That Way of viewing life's journey,
that Way of learning love,
that Way of "killing the old me",
with wisdom from above.

Teach us Lord to number our days:
we're not here forever,
to learn to see good, and to praise,
celebrate, & sever

or cut out this world's corruption,
keep ourselves from all that,
& allow your good eruption
your volcanos aren't flat,

and your bright larva's from before
this old world was around.
Teach us O Lord to not ignore
you, each day would be found...

You would be found by who reaches
out and seeks you themselves.
May this Gilbert, as he teaches,
serve, with nerve of bright elves.
