+ remember that story about the three stone masons working. When asked "What are you doing?"

the first one said: "Putting one stone on top of another",
the second said "adding a room",
the third said "I am building a great cathedral designed by .... (a great architect), for the purpose of responding with thanks to the great Creator..."

I think it might be very helpful (at least the general concept) in your thinking & talking about ... what you are doing, & this/next year etc.

I know some folk say

but good that's ok
is still to be had

in a small child's call
to it's "Dad" or "Mum",
transferred to this Paul
since his father's come.

That's Jesus himself.
His own father's son.
So smiles on this elf
stop him being glum!

Help us to be wise
in thinking and speech
so not childish eyes
look out and up reach,

but child-like we'll take
(since you taught us how)
all your offered "cake"
to have,& eat, now.
