Oh God, we join together with your man,
within that part of your world over there
in Bendigo, at school, with folk who can
speak your good name, Lord Jesus, in their prayer…
You know the young man Andy mentioned who
just fell asleep again within your world,
“died tragically” he said, as some folk do,
& yesterday, before yr 12’s been furled
then folded, finished, and the rest of life
addressed and “had a shot at”, as we say.
Our culture doesn’t help us deal with strife,
it mostly helps us look the other way.
We thank you once again for such a plan
a way to live out love, that comes up close,
and personal, within your Andy man
(& many others) in the school that chose
to have them put together in “home groups”
at school where there’s more pers’nal things discussed.
We join in asking for your grace. Please stoop
some more down, even when folk do not trust
the God invisible to their weak eyes -
they might still trust when fleshed out with some bones.
So please help each who lives, & who survives
(the tragedy) at school, and in their homes.
And as you did Lord Jesus way back then,
please bring your healing, comfort, hope and light
into those circumstances - now, & when
they all return to school. Through sleep, bring sight.
Thanks good brother and sister, for representing creative love in that part of this world.
For the king, and his fam’ly!
