Praise be to him! What is this gift he's gi'en?
Your gift to us is better than good, God!
It covers over all that is un-hea'en.
It swells to fill us up right to the top!
Your gift makes up for all our weaknesses,
our lack of love - that's "immaturity",
our fear of failure that makes us a mess,
our shrinking from the disciplines that be
essential to grow up as folk with "chests",
that mediate our "minds" with all our "guts".
We think that what you've given is the best,
so want our lives to show that we love lots.
