The blessing of the quiet sun, & ground,
of air that's clean and then the sweet cool breeze,
the blessing of the free bird flocks (with sound),
like schools of fish (though qui't) in raucous seas.
The blessing of unmessing, and of fresh
new open spaces that let us unmesh
from normal routine stuff of life, & be
more able to be open t'what we see.
The blessing of the stories and the smiles
& pictures that are shared from folk who cared
for other creatures as we pass the miles
& ho-urs of the gifted life we've shared.
