No hint at first, of strength available.

Just needy, broken, not much pow'r displays.

Capacities all "under the table".

Appears as disenfranchised in its ways.

It looks slightly disabled or quite small

at first, to get within defensive shields

& strategies of others who might fall

for cover jobs, and let seeds drop in fields

they are responsible to oversee.

This creature's given up desires to bless,

though they might still be there inside, quite deep.

It won't let those desires control, at best

it speaks about them, just before it weeps.

Its signature must change to meet its host.

It doesn't want it seen just how it keeps

its home itself. For to it speech is most-

ly not sharing its feelings from inside,

or opening intentions to the world;

but saying things to seem they will confide

in closer places where things get uncurled.

I've seen and felt, experienced might be

a better word to speak of shadows like

this which come near to rule humanity,

submitting it to powers which would spike

its drinks, and treat it like an animal.

My only, necessary, thing to do

is check where I am not doing so well,

& look up, ask for wisdom, listen to

God's leadership of light, and life, & love,

& creativity designed to bless.

Our partnering with* wisdom from above,

whose oversight is good, and bears witness.

Oh God, I'm glad your message, or your word,

your witness to us, bares & opens up 

your heart to us, as one who would be heard

to bear with-ness* to us, to share our cup

of suffering, of troubles in this space.

Your biggest hope is to live WITH us*, here

within your world, seen as a holy place.

Where desert bush might burn, not just appear.

I will respond to your bright hope to live

with* me, by ope'ning, offering my all.

And then I see that any gift you give

is part of growing love and life, a call.

So even slow and painful death with shame,

a crucifiction, then entomb-ment too;

if entered now WITH YOU*, is death in name,

but transforms1 to a sleep before WE DO*.

^  Some new theories of the left & right brain hemispheres and the way they can work together well, paint a picture that is for me a great analogy of how humans are meant to function with and under God: e.g. Ian McGilchrist's book: The Master and His Emmissary, which proposes a picture (derived with the benefit of many studies) of the Right Brain Hemisphere being partly specialized for attention to & understanding of the world we live in, and our place within it, it is paired with its Left Brain Hemisphere which is partly specialized to understand & make language, categorize, and break complex tasks down to chunks that are achievable. Both are needed to affect the world well, and need to communicate through the part that joins the two hemispheres (the corpus callosum). Without the RHS, the LHS is myopic and constrained, more like technology without the ability to consider what is best from an overall perspective (I climbed the ladder, but it was on the wrong wall).. Without the LHS the views of the world and new potentialities which the RHS perceives, are not achieved, and made reality. Some of the ways the brain hemispheres work together are by transmitters that inhibit activity in other parts of the brain, and especially in a similar part on the other side. This inhibition is not to be confused with the inhibition produced by a parasite which does not contribute, but only sucks life from its host.

Jesus transforms the fear engendered by the Roman Empire (crucifiction), into a portal of life, and can even say : "unless you deny yourself, & take up your own cross, daily, you cannot be my disciple" (for a disciple is by definition, a follower). And I am only doing this for your sake. This is the only way forward for you, so don't think I am saving you from crucifiction, you are coming with me into it, and through it, out of it, to new life! As Joseph acknowledges at the end of Genesis: 'You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.’ And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them. Genesis 50:20‭-‬21 NIVUK

• God's desire is to live with his people as their god, and that we would live with him, as his people.

• That the Angel, speaking about Jesus's birth beforehand, said: "WITH God, nothing shall be impossible!"

• Jesus dignifies those he heals by not simply doing it to them, but joining with them, and the number of times where at least one of the gospel writers mentions some way they are given to participate in the process, to add to it, or complete it,
