(Aged people often get dusty minds, not Amanda.)
Amanda has grown
the years they have flown,
till 65 years have gone by,
Still she & her man
have traveled again
& now back at home, they imply
that life's not over
beneath the clover,
and even her work must go on.
Parties continue,
with guts & sinew,
Her lovely cooking has shon.
Her fears she allays
by taking up ways
that move her right into their maws.
Still spritely and bright,
she does shifts at night
she'll willing to walk out of doors.
So she says, & we hear.
We'll see more this year.
She's certainly learning to trust
and love with God's love.
Wisdom "from above" -
may it fill her mind, not just dust.
