Paul, please excuse me this morning. I'll probably go back to bed to rest my eye.
Oh God your healing powers are so great!
They mean our lives are not just tawdry things,
with damages that compound and berate
our ev'ry step. Because of your healings
we even can be cut, and stitch it up,
and get some better sight than just before.
Or gain an organ, lose a skin cancer,
prevent some un-toward growth, & do more.
And all of this because you made a way
for bodies to be self-healing down here.
And that's the bi-ol-og-ic-al ones. Hey!
The start of indestructible's appeared
in Jesus' resurrection one that's come
on to this Earth for forty something days,
then up to heaven till God's time is some-
how bringing more of God's life to our haze.
Somehow, like energy can't disappear
but only be embodied diff'rent ways,
our new bodies, like Christ's, will soon be here,
and then we'll have more, bigger jobs those days.
