So Jesus tells a story that brings love
into the business world. Who thinks of that?
The Father's business spirit from above
brings unexpected outcomes, not just flat
old "bottom line" mentality that says
it's loving money more than loving God,
and loving things more than his images
- 's what makes the world go round, or why he trod
the Earth, just like he did, in Palestine.
His kindness strikes us most and best of all
it indicates his friendship (all the time)
with one who said he'd never let him fall.
He rose, to rise much higher, and return.
And great love being shown, is proof enough
of sins forgiven. In this way we learn
a human's debt was canceled - but how much?
Another bloke could not follow him more
or go with him, his strategy was clear.
Instead, he told him, “Go back home to your
own fam'ly, tell them how much (& how dear)
the Lord has done for you (how precious, kind
this Boss has been to you).” & off he went,
connecting the Lord God, as came to mind,
with this young man, by whom he had been sent.
We see as well the love of God himself
the Father of the children that we are
This world has no idea of the wealth
that knowing him who knows us, is so far.
‘Why were you searching for me?’ he asked. ‘Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house*?’
Luke 2:49 NIVUK *or "be about my Father's business"
“No servant can be the slave of two masters; such a slave will hate one and love the other or will be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me. ‘Come now; let us leave.'
I tell you, then, the great love she has shown proves that her many sins have been forgiven. But whoever has been forgiven little shows only a little love.” Luke 7:47 GNTD
But Jesus would not let him. Instead, he told him, “Go back home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you and how kind he has been to you.” Mark 5:19 GNTD
See how much the Father has loved us! His love is so great that we are called God's children—and so, in fact, we are. This is why the world does not know us: it has not known God. 1 John 3:1 GNTD
