[Working! Or Playing?
'coz "this" is "t his";
now "this" is "our"
in the ours of the night]
Oh God, within the night upon my bed
I think, and try to word what wisdom wills,
with your help; What is happening? What's said?
What turns this life is taking? and, What spills?
And you don't seem to be quite nonchalant,
you're leaning forward, hoping I will too,
suspending dis-believe, that's what I want,
the other part responds to what you do.
And jumps right in to bed - the God of gods,
who's worthy, and who enters into me,
is willing to be partnered - with what odds?
- of such a partnership - were King with me?
Allegiance to the reign and rule of who
is making humans up, and keeps the link
suspended even when their bodies do
not keep together, or get out of sync.
I start to understand what's meant by "grace"
when you dare to be present with a dot,
and put more dots together in a face,
and draw right into being what was not.
And draw the Most(-est) Wanted Man alive.
And then you start to animate the pic.
And help it breathe the air that you've contrived
to really be there in the drawing, - quick!
And I'm allowed within your very great
Dream, in this Dreamtime story that unfolds.
My standing under you, and joining straight-
away with what you do elates my soul.
Psalm 63 NLT
O God, you are my God;
I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
where there is no water.
2 I have seen you in your sanctuary
and gazed upon your power and glory.
3 Your unfailing love is better than life itself;
how I praise you!
4 I will praise you as long as I live,
lifting up my hands to you in prayer.
5 You satisfy me more than the richest feast.
I will praise you with songs of joy.
6 I lie awake thinking of you,
meditating on you through the night.
7 Because you are my helper,
I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.
8 I cling to you;
your strong right hand holds me securely.
9 But those plotting to destroy me will come to ruin.
They will go down into the depths of the earth.
10 They will die by the sword
and become the food of jackals.
11 But the king will rejoice in God.
All who swear to tell the truth will praise him,
while liars will be silenced.
Psalm 63 NLT
