The 2015th* Celebration of Xmas

Katrina the beautiful #

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m glad she dutiful-

-ly reflects that shining man.

This culture blames and curses

the one it do’n’t understand,

won’t submit, only versus,

his world-view, and what he planned.

The babe born (by many views)

absolutely innocent,

didn't catch the evening news

(except where the family went),

in a world made by God's word,

with hopeful glades where both trod;

that's the one who always heard

then obeyed and walked with God;

we want to walk just like him:

make sure we talk from list'nin',

and not just baulk, then give in,

to the evil that is sin.

God we need your help just now;

within us, but outside too,

to never give-in or bow,

to what's cut itself from you.

Some two thousand Christmases

later, we are glad he came,

and I’m glad that Katrina’s ^

joined to celebrate the same.

*  If the first was at zero, then the 2015th would be in 2014CE. This is rough though because an error made in the original judgement means that Jesus was probably born within ten years of zero, possibly about 5 or 7BCE.

now reflects that shining man.

Soraya the motherly

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I think she (southerly)

still reflects the shining man.

Dina girl, the musical,

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and resounds (when dutiful)

music of that shining man. 

Beth Anne (Mum) the beautiful

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m glad she dutiful-

-ly reflects the shining man.

Peter the wise carpenter

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m glad he’s sharpened ta

show off well the shining man.

Timothy the farmer-boy

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I see him more in joy

reflecting that shining man.

Mathew the responsible,

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m glad he dutiful-

-ly reflects that shining man.

Grego the learning list’ner

came to earth in God’s good plan.

I see him, (not just wish-ing-er)

reflecting that shining man.

Frazer, more an un-daze-er

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m glad, he un-phased,

more reflects that shining man. 

Ian the growing wise-worker

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m glad he, no shirker,

more reflects that shining man.

Greg the Willing-Shire one

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m glad he’s having fun,

reflecting that shining man.  

Bevan the serving healer

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and as God’s good Dealer,

more reflects that shining man.

Ali, who’s an overseer,

came to earth in God’s good plan,

gained skills as an Engineer,

and reflects the shining man.  

Sam the son and twin brother,

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and as a “flying” lover

reflects too that shining man.

  

Danny the puppet-eer,

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m seeing life appear

as did with that shining man.

Nathan who is willing, game,

came to earth in God’s good plan,

as he gives to others, same

will reflect the shining man. 

Mohsen the wise and good dad

came to earth in God’s good plan,

taught his son to love not bad,

so reflects the shining man

Hannah with elfin bright-smile

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m glad she’s all the while

reflecting that shining man. 

Craig-eo the quite faithful

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m glad he dutiful-

-ly reflects the shining man.

Michael Chapman the faithful

came to earth in God’s good plan,

and I’m glad he dutiful-

-ly reflects the shining man.

One More Year...

One more year for young Shell-gell,
who would have guessed, or could tell,
unless they’re told? She keeps well
beauty, and it’s hard to quell 

her energy and bright smile;
though she’s worn, the “extra mile”
often flows out, like the Nile,
and it’s floods bring silt – fertile 

gift from further up, towards
the source, and thought to be from “gords”.
The gords looked after  the hoards
of gifts for life, and rewards 

for service done, and readied folk
for after-life, both sheila, bloke.
The leader from the gords of course
was the one who ruled with force. 

Though Shell can do that, & more,
I think I’ve seen her before,
and more recently, adore
folk who don’t deserve it, sure; 

and I’m one, who as a kid
(now  ashamed of  what I did),
used her bright trust, when she slid
down the rope from where we hid. 

She is bold, ever-ready.
Her trust gold, and quite steady,
truth be told, her hope’s not “heady”,
‘nher love should-ers more than “Teddy”.

I've nearly missed your birthday:

the day finishes tonight,

at twelve, of this earth-day.

Hope you had a good one Russ

enjoyed the good that love grows,

without the fretting and fuss,

thinking it's the things one knows

that make the diff'rence, and good,

and bring to us our true life;

all the time we've known, or should

have, that knowing brings more strife!

For it most often puffs up,

but the knowing of a friend,

though it involves some tough stuff,

builds up right until the end!

And you have been building up

people and true friendships too.

So I raise (& toast) my cup,

"first Rus'ling leaves, then fruit new".

Hans Erwin Heer now lies, but before this life's demise..

A young man named Hans,
from the Shvitzer lands
(to have his adventures
before he had dentures),

hopped onto a boat
to farthest-remote-
-est part of the world
& there he got hurled

'n the land that the Dutch
named "South Land" as such
"Of.." THE Free Spirit,
Hans might just hear it;

& so sure enough
he met folk (& stuff)
& e-ven the girl
that would change his world.

It turned out that he
(who loved to be free)
took up bush-walking
with Swiss, -no baulking,

and that one day he
out in this country,
standing by a dell,
marr-ied her and dwelled

then over the sea
he took him, and she
went too, willingly,
'n there had one, of three.



A printer was he,
(continued to be)
but after their son,
decided to come

back to this south land
where number two and
three were then born well
'n their Fairfield "Hotel".

"Hotel"; f'this one stays
(from some other place),
& that one came too,
'n stayed a month (or few ).

The 'Del' & her 'Hans'
had folk from all lands
[fam'ly & friend is
play'n cards & tennis].

A skier, he went
to snow, where he spent
weeks many a year
with friends of good cheer.

Gentle-manly bloke,
careful what he spoke,
willing to deny
what he couldn't "buy",

at last re-a-lized
what he ex-er-cised
was LOVE, & he prized
it, and then demised.

Good God Please Help This girl
Affirm The good She's seen
As a daughter oughta
To spy through mists The gleam

J..... you grown man
of 21years,
just like some sown grain,
that multiplies ears

as it grows old-ly,
so may you as well,
following boldly
the way, and the smell,

of that Christ Jesus
who, as brother James
said, (hears and sees us,
his dad knows our names)

- was quick to listen,
- also slow to speak;
follow his glisten-
-ing life, let him tweak

your life to be that
same kind of God's-man.
I want to see what
God does, as he can.

Her Dad Is Dying...

Lord God, please give
your girl your grace
so as to live
and also trace

your good gifts here
in this bung place;
make her life cheer-
on those who praise

the GOOD, the seer
appreciates.
Give her the clear,

-sive good idea
of what Love says
to who is dear,
in these tough days.

Reflections and shadows are somewhat like lenses, if the surface which holds the shadow, or forms the reflection is not flat (in the case of shadows on a surface, or reflections formed by a surface) or curved properly (as in the refraction of a lens), we know that the outcome will be "skewey". As with a wobbly world-view lens. Look at the shadow of the straight wire (distinct even from the shadow of the vine):

Thank you my God, for this year,
so many good things poured out,
all often passed by in fear,
sometimes they bring me more doubt.

Not that good things are doubt's cause;
I've always seen "through my eyes"
and as they grow their own flaws,
'twill be no surprise - to doubt my own eyes;

if light's not transmitted there,
the Sun seems no longer bright,
I'll not be able to share
vistas that once brought delight.

Unless it lives in my soul,
lighting my life from within,
my sight will never be whole
until love's-light has a win.

It's an internal sky-light,
by-passing windows and doors,
and makes for quite a high-light
when you accept that it's yours.

So, I'll open this sky-light,
accept the light (and some breeze),
save my day-room from twilight
grateful for what my eye sees.

YOU give lenses to see with,
and I'll accept what you give.
Father's heart longs to be with
his child; so with you I'll live.

An Inconvenience Is Only An Adventure Wrongly Considered (And T'other Way Round.. - G.K.CHESTERTON)

I arrived home a few hours ago. No buses from Bathurst to Orange on Sunday nights so Shaz came and got me. Just about to go to bed when I thought to reflect on the past 10 days (in God's presence, with a cuppa tea. No milk for tea. Oh well, open the house up (it was musty smelling) and sit out on the cool front. .. Who should come by but Ian and Nathan, from further down our block, who went and got milk and asked questions which helped me recall some good things about our trip, and reminded me of tomorrow's commitments... (And got to talk with our neighbour who came out) I'm off to bed.

God bless these dear ones here in Aus. 
and help them rest in peace because 
they truly are loved, here 'n' now, 
before the curtain-fall and bow. 

 Hence all the fun that can be had 
enjoying play with Mum and Dad, 
not to earn both their love and trust, 
but as good celebrations must... 

they celebrate by using all 
the goodness that they have in store 
and push it past its limits yet 
growing goodness; lest we forget.

God give Sam grace

Keep his heart near

fretful-repose

stop up his peace,
