It’s lovely - knowing you’re at work down here
not just by making (coding) up this world
at the beginning, when your dust appeared
in time and space, before our flag’s unfurled.
But even after - woods with trees became,
when orchard grove was planted, humans put
within it, told to multiply, no shame
encountered at their nakedness of foot
of flesh, or top or bottom, face or hand.
And when there was an open-ness between
the hemisphere’s of likeness (God, Human-
ity; the heavens and the earth - where teem
the multitude of life-forms which reflects
the life of hea’nly thoughts towards God’s kids).
Authority was given in respects
to God’s own children, just before the skids
were hit by them, when earth was given to
the humans - sons & daughters of who is
(& was, & will be), who would grow up you
& me, to be a baby god, likeness
of God (the boss, the Father, Friend at large)
And you would still be walking round your world,
responding to requests of those in charge*
(in charge - because your flag is still unfurled).
For they can still look up and ask away! -
or start again that lost apprenticeship
to learn from ev’ry thing this God would say,
& do, & want, for this world in his grip.
* Walking his world, looking like a bunch of friends on a journey together, or a brother Israelite, or a motley crew of Jesus followers e.g. Genesis 18:1, 16-33 NRSVUE; Exodus 40:34, 38 NRSVUE; Leviticus 26:11-13 NRSVUE; Numbers 9:15, 23 NRSVUE; Numbers 11:18-20 NRSVUE; Numbers 14:17-24, 27-34 NRSVUE; Numbers 23:21-23 NRSVUE; I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.(Leviticus 26:12 NIVUK); “... Because the Lord your God travels along with/ through your camp, to save you and to hand over your enemies to you, therefore your camp must be holy, so that he may not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you. (Deuteronomy 23:12-14); Corinthians 6:15-18 NRSVUE
“ God is at work within you, to help you to choose for, and to act out the kind of thing that pleases him (Phil 2:13)
