he receives the offering of one as they're Abel...

"I will not drink of the fruit of the vine till I drink it anew in my Father's kingdom" (PW's approximation of what Jesus said at the last supper c.f. Mk14:25; Lk22:18 Matt26:29)

Can you drink the cup I must drink? (Jesus, to James & John after they asked to be 2nd & 3rd in Command in his new Kingdom - Mark 10)

Jesus commanded Peter, “Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?” (John 18:11 NIV http://bible.com/111/jhn.18.11)

Abba (Father), all things are possible for you: please take this cup from me; but more than my desire, my deepest desire is to see your desires fulfilled. (Mark 15)

When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said " IT IS FINISHED" Then He bowed His head and released His spirit. John 19:30 (PM Version)

 .............................................................

When Jesus had received
the cup of sour wine,
which someone who "believed"
got for him this time...

(Did they hope to relieve
a dying man's thirst?
Or prolong suffering?
Hope it was the first!

- a cup of cold water?
The best they could do.
Jesus ain't caught up
in rules, he takes into

himself this offering,
like Abel's was received,
took what was proffering
(because they believed?).

So he backs up any
real open goodness.
Like his Father when he
received his son's present-

-that was when he let his
son's deepest wish come true;
He did not forget Son's
words, so followed through

with the plan that was the
most creative, to birth
many children, worthy,
loved, to bring to New Earth.

He said: ... (can you hear it?)
Then He bowed His head
and released His spirit.
Like Rachel, he was dead.

The "Son of Suffering"
was renamed "Son of Joy".
No way of buffering
the acid, to employ

an easy way to build
such houses as he does.
His house's walls are filled
with living stones - that's us!
