Txt2PW: Can y'all pray for us tonight? One child just vomited and I'm freaking out that its a bug.. can you pray that her tummy settles and it's not a bug but if it is that we avoid getting it too? Especially another child! I feel silly asking but I just hate vomiting bugs so much

Oh God, we join with that one there tonight,

for one child has just vomited and Mum

is freaking out that its a bug.. that might

be passed to the whole fam'ly, on the run…

Please intervene with insight and with grace

for Mother, and for Dad, and kids today

That one child's tum will settle, that her face

will smile again. And bug, just go away!

And please keep them all safe from kinds of harm,

and evil that would just destroy and kill,

and steal away the good that's theirs. You've armed

them with your word, which they can speak until

it brings about desired outcomes in

the matter of God's world, and in his kids.

All those that hear him speak within the din

(cacophony of life), will open lids

as though from death, or some deep sleeping state,

and come alive with more than mortal breath.

We want to hear your word and not abate,

to come alive before our mortal death.

And this Mum has been open with us here.

She says she's feeling silly just to ask.

Bacteria and viruses "appear"

invisible to us but kill our tasks.

And so with her, we ask you to please bring

your peace of thriving, fullness, to complete.

That with them we will learn to rightly sing,

before we even have new bodies sweet.

we lift this brother, G.P. up to you.

And trust that you will use this horror to

bring honour to what's good and also true.

For humans do not nor-mal-ly trust that

God brings much good from crucifixion or

a cellulitis. G.P. is quite flat.

You've raised up from their  derelictions, more

than one could poke a stick at, and your plans

go further than this life in mortal bods,

your pow'r & understanding's  more than 'man's;

it's what one would expect of "God of gods"!

I want you to come and be king.

I want people on Earth to do everything you say,

Please give us some ordinary good food to eat today,

& please forgive us for the bad things we've done

- the same way that we forgive other people when they do bad things to us.

Please save us from the things that help us to do bad things, and please save us from badness.

You are the only true King who can do this;

and you are our PAPA*!

*  Upside down and mixed around, but similar meaning to "AbbA". And Paul in his epistles (Romans 8:9-17; & Galatians 4:6), reflecting on Jesus' prayer (in the garden, as recorded in Mark 14:36), takes special note of the childlike wording of his actual Aramaic (the heart language of village children to their fathers) word of address to God. Then he says, we who are Jesus' disciples (= "children", inheritors of his spirit), are now able to follow our family wording of an address for the creator of the Universe. (When our children were little, they said "Dadda", then "Daddy").

! The last word is another Aramaic word Jesus (Yeshua), used a lot, to mean "Truly" or "Yes, Yes!". Jesus is said to be the very "yes"-ance of God! 2 Cor 1:17-22 . And his speech regarding God, and speech to God, is taken by those who follow him, acknowledging him to be the Christ (i.e. Christ-ians), as paradigmatic, and worth following.

within the family of the real possessor,
who gives his children chances to enrich

so saying that he knows them. That's his pitch.

pay meant..

When God made us and stamped his image in
our very selves, and put his name on who
his children are, we know where to begin
in paying what is owed to whom it's due.

So Jesus said, to them  “Pay Caesar what
belongs to him, his image & his name
will indicate what's to be paid - it's got
his on it, so it's right to use the same.

We owe to him the system which has brought
conditions so that we can access these.
So payment is what's due, and can't be fought
against unless we think we can with ease

provide the same conditions, and not stop.
In God's case he's the one who put us up
above all his creation, at the top,
just under he himself, as his own pups.

Though he is not dislexic, he's the "top
dog", not just coz he wins all of his fights;
he wants to win our hearts so love won't stop,
and we will be reflecting more his lights*.

kind 'v power

The Lord said to me "Paul, my grace is all

you need." (An access to my presence, and

my help within this troubled world, to fall

with grace, displaying trust in one "at hand"

yet still invisible, but plainly here

within the one who loves and prays for en-

emies. This is the sign of something near,

accessible, yet only known by them.

That is the ones who love - because they're loved.

They have the eyes to see love when it's near.

And strain to see it like a homing dove,

decending to its home. They make a cheer!

They know the power of God is more than "ours".

But unlike pow'r that's "of this earth", instead

of "making people do his will", his pow'rs "make people"

who choose. He woos. He's aiming for the head,

or mind, and heart and soul, and all we are.

Not so we're over-pow'red - or else we're dead!

The pow'r he has is like a living star,

a sun of fission/fusion - his khesed!

So I will celebrate, my weaknesses.

His power's shown when I, in weakness, trust

& look to him, and hear his voice that says

"My power works best in weakness!" Now I must…

(not in a way that's forced, or been "controlled")

I want to let creative love grow strong

in me, till all my trait'rousness is rolled,

and I am what You hoped for all along!

Calming down, to notice, not just frown...

Wow! God you're doing something lovely here.

So, "Thanks for 'holding hands', thus helping me..."

My grand-daughter at 'nearly two' appears

quite sim-i-lar to my  pro-pen-sit-y

for letting go, to 'off', explore surrounds.

But more than me, she listens when I say

"In carparks like this, you should hold my hand",

then once 'inside', takes off again, to play.

And now I see - past weeks you've set me up

to do some thing like that with me, to learn

to be more careful not to interrupt,

to listen deeply, when ideas churn.

And I have seen a lovely part of you,

come out in other people when I hear

not just their words, but listen to them too,

for heart as well, and hope, and maybe fear.

And hold it up, and look with them at it -

at what they said, try hard to understand.

And don't pretend to be their god, to wit

I'll celebrate all goodness that's at hand,

but won't make final judgement of all things,

though still admitting things I think I know

where that will aid/ abet the good that brings

trees growing from the ground down here, below.

Just like that "gard'ner" planting all those trees

"to East in Eden" then telling them what

to do with different parts of them. God please,

keep helping me. And, I love you a lot.

Less 'ons' and 'offs', more living with an eye

for what my Master says, or thinks, or dreams.

As an old dog who loves his master, tries

to work out how he'll join in, or what seems

to be his master's plan for the next bit.

If he could be involved he'll count himself

to be a lucky dog. He will not sit

and idly watch, he'll jump in where his health

allows him to at all, he'll try his best.

And if he is denied, he'll be quite sad,

though he has learned to listen, and to rest

in what he's told. He loves his master bad!

Please help them see how to join up with you.
