Katie, my laidee

has laid down her life,

not as some shady

fig-ure, but as wife

and helper in truth

to this ol’ fellow

(husband of her youth)

as she's grone mellow.

Grone a year older;

and that’s what she’s done

as she’s grone bolder

and too grone in fun!

That’s twenty-one years,

and then quite some months;

so it now appears

her husband at once

has really been blest

and quite helped has been,

as she gives respect

she's become his queen

(and he has grone too

with his paper crown,

learning what to do

when stuff's going down).

As follower of

that Yeshua Man

loud grones at times have

come in and (not ran

but hung around) stayed

for a while, at least.

some in joy were made,

some in grief released.

Life, ’times seems about

well, whether we('ve) “grone”;

with love (not without)

so let it be known

that hidden in life

(when we join others,

as above) they're rife;

GRONE’s breath un-smothers.

And, as “helper” goes,

well she's been “too right”

for don't you suppose

that that is a blight..

for God himself is

Man’s helper you see

and parents help kids,

- takes humility!

And love, though loving,

is at times quite tough;

not always shoving,

sometimes a bit rough.

Katrina’s my love,

and helper, she's grone,

brings light from above,

I say, and I've known

her ’cause she's opened

herself to this man

and he's more hope-ened

if more hope he can

have than he's got now.

Well, God help us all!
