Jesus made disciples: he modelled & told them to do many things, including, lastly, to go, & make diciples, of all the nations.

Thanks to you, God of Jesus
for your great life-giving ways.
You're the one who now sees us
so it's you that we now praise!

You started this whole world off,
& you breathed your life in man.
As a father, you were chuffed,
with your word it all began.

Thus you taught us how to teach,
to take on the greatest job
(otherwise beyond our reach)
like the time you fed that mob

(of “sheep without a shepherd”)
gathered, without direction;
your heart’s response & method,
as Father made connection!

Please do that again in us
that we might help all your kids,
that we might love all others
in the sort of way you did.

Not to say your love has changed:
I truly feel it more now
than I did when Peter ranged
the Galillee, & then somehow

wrote to those who ha'en't seen him,
yet to them he was precious,
since the love of God gleaned them
from a world that is specious.

Amen! Amen, a-amen!
