Risk beads, Like seeds; Slow walk, Good talk.

My "baby" daughter, her
who is last of the tribe
is now deemed a "young per-
son", and brings ON "the vibe"..

The other day she spoke,
at breakfast, at seven:
"..all can say, (girl, or bloke)
'I belong to heaven'".

Then she read that bead-card
that tells the risky way,
to live life, going hard..
Recalling made my day!

Makes me want to pray for
her, and all her friends here,
thankful that Christ's "much more.."
goes deeper than a smear:

Please my Father-Spirit,
help this girl, your daughter,
to throw out her old script
'cause your story caught her!

Living Simply

Reflections led by -belle, 10 Sept. Two Thous and Twelve...

(my tiny baby gell, kept by God growing well..)

..on the simplicity
   of the
      garden paradise.
All they must do: gladly
   receive
      love from Father's eyes.
And we – are we reálly
   diff'rent?
      Do we need much less?
First made an “un-zombie”,
   what then?
      - to be really blessed?
Can we trust our real growth
   to one
      who made such a whirled,
and whirling system, both,
   with com-
      plexities unfurled?
Are WE scared? Lost our nerve?
   That SON!
      ON YOU, his trust hurled!
Do we need more to serve(?)-
   -to run
      well? Need you be turled?

A lov-ed father, Paul(means small), is glad of his “big-girl”.

A story of a ppalling life [1].. PART ONE,

One day a man and woman
met on this planet earth,
-lives joined, they stated bloomin’,
and  “Paul” was named at birth.

Then as their other children
came out to bloom as well
(in what could be  garden,
or else could be a hell)..

..the garden rang with calling,
and singing was there too,
and one (who’d carried Paul in)
played organ, or kazoo!

The one who could not sing much,
tried too, to sing along.
Some may think it was a crutch,
but always, it was song.

And when the generations
got old & others came,
they had their lamentations,
songs… just stopped short of blame.

The father & the mother
they loved each daughter, son,
there’s nothing that they ’druther
than see them grow, each one.

And now the songs are growing,
they’re coming thick & fast
And I think there’s a knowing …
..it’s gonna be a blast!

Means & Ends Nemies & Friends

A thing I found  from bloke here-round
that caught my eye as life went by
(won’t all make sense, but there comes hence
some meaning still   from what is billed)
I have permis- sion to print this:

The interview   went right on through

I talked of much - lessons and such,

and different groups,   went through the hoops.

It seemed quite good,   so that I would
know only of    the positov,
and afterwards,   shopping for goods
the teacher's aid,    smiled board and “sayed”
her mind and heart:    “Glad!” from the start
of period 5,    brought well alive
the yes-ter-day,    backed up my claim
the night before,    re.5,3,4

The phone came soon,   to bring the boon
of one joining    the “Chaplain”  thing
I looked forward   to working good
with local man   of “Clergy” clan.
But reasons why    brought on a sigh,
made more perplexed,   and even vexed:
Quals did not match,   more recent hatched.
[No question asked    of input past
to primary aged;   except if waged
to Primary teach,    and there (impeached)
I answered “No-oo”,   but went on slow
to say there was,   “one year” because..
But man on  phone,    start2intone
next question, (he    could not hear/see-
and later on     said much had “gone”,
or was unclear    to even hear).]
So then I felt   the process “smelt”.
Which time to time    comes down the line
of human life,     magnetting  strife.

Now, the next day,   I’ll right  here say
I'm very glad     of good (not bad)
to come of this,   (though be remiss).
So thank you God,   please give your nod
as you see fit,    please bring on it.
We know your touch    brings good, so much,
if I can wait,    as Pharoh's “mate”
[that Joseph lad,    who got some bad
press, even frum   his Dad (and Mum?)]
did, trusting you,    to come on through
not for himself,  but more as “elf”
who worked behind    the scenes to find
the way to bless    in quite a mess
(with God, like his,   who is inviz-
-ible to us,   that’s what HE does)

Thanks, in this dance   I've got a chance
to live core stuff,   when going's tough:
to not react,   instead en-act
what is  trusting,   ’stead of busting.

In Christ “Go well”,   right through the hell
and so like him,    preach more than whim,
that your life’s word    will clear be heard
as others there    look on, or stare,
that maybe hope   with them elope
and take them straight    to  Heaven’s Gate
and maybe through,   since he can do
that (being True,      Ladder,  Life’s clue).
Yipee!  WhoRay? Good God! Today!
Amen! - Paul.

Gilbert Ariel Simeon Enoch Heer Walker..

God U see the lot
& hear Gil's heart too.
Please give what you've got
to help him be true
to GILBERT's meaning
Joyful, Bright, Alert,
Servant, thus gleaning
the good his names assert;
along with names-sakes
who make good the names,
give him what it takes -
joining holy games.

X's Friends in Bangladesh ask us to pray

God, you heard this heart cry
of Henry & of Jo.
We agree, and ask why
more workers do not go?

Please make us your workers
in your harvest fields here
(not to be like shirkers,
who start then disappear)

We want to love you more,
respond to your 'hesed'1,
and love those from next-door
so YOU call us "bless-ed"

Oh, God please open up
our ears to hear your voice,
hearts to not be "fed up",
to choose to thank, rejoice!

Thank you for your spirit,
who's come to start things fresh.
There are those who hear it
in Oz, & Bangladesh.

Amen, from this small Paul.

1“hesed” = Hebrew for “loyal love”

Bad News

(after an update from Jason; More than a month in hospital, then still with large abscesses...)

Thank you dear brother
Jason for keeping
us up with the news,
between your sleeping.

God, do your healing
bring good amidst bad-
(mostly bad feeling).
Help Jas as a dad,

and as a husband,
& learner, & teach-
-er at the li'le school.
Help us all to reach

out with healing hand
in your adventure
(do what you comm-and)
rather than censure.

Please help Jas; breathe clear
(& thanks for bodies),
not "give way" to fear
(old ones are "shodies")

(Meant to fall out for
our new ones to come,
like first teeth from jaw,
then perm'nent en-gum)

So may your strong life
replace our weaker
in the midst of strife
as things seem bleaker!

Amen.

Wise Eyes

God, Kate's eyes have caught her.
please help this, your daughter
to see much more better
since that's what eyes' aught ta
do, not be a fetter.
Help us to see how we
can help you to work too,
& we will joyfully
praise what should be praised - You!
Amen. Paul W.

Tongues that puff up*, or build up*?

Help us O God                 to follow your son.
Look for his nod,             & wait for "Well done."
We'll guard ourselves      and challenge the yeast
that brings it's spells        (if once it's released)
'gainst inspection            & "covers our back".
Its infection                     puffs up where we lack.
Then we look good,        & seem sufficient.
But, where He stood,      is now our mission.
To look quite shamed,    & stumbled, & hanged;
quiet when blamed,        could not really stand,
but himself throw           on God's self. Amen.
We will follow,               & see what you send!

We know our tongues,    if not brought to heel,
will "mouth off" tons,     to make us seem "real".
They'll put us "up",         or else others "down",
won't "drink the cup",     which quietens the clown.
Oh God to tame              such an unruly
beast, is the same            as killing "yours truly".
Well since that should    happen, now may it.
And for what's good,      please will you slay it.
Now since He's raised,   raise me up in Him.
Him who is praised        by all who would sing.
Give your child speech,  to build up and help
And as you reach           out our ice-hearts will melt.

Hallelujah. Amen. Hallelu!

*1Cor, + James, + Jesus on "leaven".

Prayer for a friend with dis-ease

After hearing that Kate's eye problem is related to an autoimmune condition. She asked me to pray for her. Please join with me.

Oh God, please now help dear Kate
in this diff'culty of late,
to know and go in, and wait
on - your love and comfort straight.
YOU are our healer (and mate)!

Your love and truth are so great
they reach out, and won't abate.
We see what your hopes relate,
(now we're in the week-day "Eight",
and our new bodies await)
so our hearts and souls elate,
as we see your plans, our fate!

Learning to respect people (even when you disagree with their ideas)

In responding to Kate’s email on a new school-level resource website to help people see the facts & dialogue properly on the Creation/  Evolution debate... and discussing with the site WebMaster about adding in some stuff on Epistemology: Naive Idealism/Realism cf Critical Idealism/Realism. Friday 27/7/2012.

This sounds great, Kate!
May conversate-
-tion with ol' mate
a-lle-vi-ate
the spit & spate,
bring love, not hate,
for all who "wait".

The Sting

An unknown dream may turn into a nightmare, but it may turn into an adventure.
What is worse than moving into the unknown dream, is the sure anticipation of the known nightmare.

Taking this world only into account …

The first Adam had the agony of having to choose to act
in an unknown, uncharted world,
with the felt possibility, if he obeyed God,
of experiencing the pain & suffering
of feeling left out of Eve’s & the Snake’s company
& the “Knowledge of Good & Evil” club…

…He chose not to go through with it.

The second Adam had the agony of having to choose to act
in a known  world,
with the surety, if he obeyed God,
of experiencing the pain & suffering,
of being deserted by his friends & disciples,
being rejected by his nation’s leaders
& the representatives of his God,
who would unjustly try him,
condemn him to death,
hand him over to another nation,
who would mock him,
spit on him,
whip him,
kill him

…He chose to go through with it.

Why?
Because he was stupid?

…There’s more to take into account than
this world only”.

"Mendooran on the Castlereagh.."

"Mendooran on the Castlereagh.."
- with a couple o’ hundred folk -
has the best schoolI’d like to say
(& says “more than one” other bloke).

It’s got a Pub to boast, as well
a General Store, & Farmer’s Hub,
Commun’ty Centre, R.S.L.,
Cemet'ry, & a ‘Bolo’ club.

It used to be called “Mundooran
but then the railway line came in
& called their station “Mendooran,
& finally the town gave in...

The Castlereagh don’t run too much,
but in the old times, Mundoo ran
away from white “spirits and such”
(he was head of the local clan).

Australia’s Postal service,
celebrated by “Banjo”,
might here1 still make ya nervous
if you don’t know “What’s the go”.

Free car’van park - (jus’ for wishin’).
Two bridges, one river, one creek.
Heaps o’ carp to practice fishin’,
enough to keep ya here all week.

Some churches, from the olden days.
A P’lice station to quiet the frays,
a friendly copper says “G’day”s,
and after work folk chat & laze..

And what do folk do e’v’where-else?
Most mobile phones don’t work - just here.
So these folk talk, (whisper, or yell),
get to know you, shed smiles & tears.

And so by bits, you feel like you
start to get to know them too.
til you forget, and feel that you
are “quite home” here, near Dunedoo.

A friend turns forty..

Fiona's family & a few colleagues &  old friends met on Saturday night at the BCCS school to celebrate Fiona graduating from her 40th year on God's Earth. Joining with that celebration...

Fiona is forty
years old about Now
Fi, don't get haughty!
(though, you could take a bow)

Multi-skilled is our "Fi":
just now with School Teachers,
before that was "O.T.";
and most caring features...

..Psych nurse; & a Carer;
I think there was "Cleaning".
But you won't get fairer,
or more forth-right in meaning!

If Fi thinks it, she speaks
what's come into her mind;
so you know, before weeks,
what you're likely to find.

But she won't "put you down"
(at least not meaning to).
Sometimes comes a frown,
but she'll listen to you.

All this stuff, Fiona,
we've seen over the years,
you've certainly grown a
bold daughter[1]! Now, here's cheers!

[1] Background for the use of “daughter” here (as well as being the daughter to her parents, who joined in the night). Somehow Fi reminds me of that determined (and open) lady, who [had a haemorrhage (& was thus considered “unclean” by her society. After seeing & hearing about what Jesus had done in healing people by placing his hands on them, she put two & two together, “If I just touch his clothes I will get well”, and acted on it. But he stopped in the middle of everything to say “Who touched my clothes?”.. and waited… the story goes that she had felt in her body that the bleeding had stopped &] when she realized what had happened, came & told the whole story… and Jesus said to her “My daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace, & be healed of your suffering.” I was thinking of Jesus responding to Fi’s logic, boldness & open-ness & calling her “My daughter..”.  But if you prefer, you could use the word “gal” (for girl), instead of daughter.
