My zombie-life

On the visit of a tummy bug

My dear brothers & sisters, consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way, for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure. Make sure that your endurance carries you all the way without failing, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. But if any of you lack wisdom, he should pray to God, who will give it to him; because God gives generously and graciously to all. But when you pray, you must believe and not doubt at all. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is driven and blown about by the wind. People like that, unable to make up their mind and undecided in all that they do, must not think that you will receive anything from the Lord.

All seemed to be going well,
my sicknesses were minor,
just enough to show, or tell,
no need to be a whiner...

Feelings weren't involved you see.
But now it is quite diff'rent,
Tummy-bug has come to me:
tummy's tight, and I feel spent.

I feel like cursing this thing
for I don't like feeling bad
and this old Paul will not sing
if no benefit's to be had.

It just wants it to be known
that it's suff'ring. Great big deal!
And it wants to loudly groan,
reap what pity, eat no meal,

to get other's attention,
waited on both hand and foot.
This mirror helps detection
of who's ruling o'er this lot

of spirit, soul & body.
I recall what Uncle James
said, struck him like a waddi,
from the one whom God now names

"Human's Leader", from above.
James calls us (recalling him)
"My dear brothers" - full of love,
then he tells us how to win!

EACH OF US WANTS TO "HAVE" IT -
BUT CAN'T BE IN SOLITUDE.
OUR MEMORIES TEND TO FAVOUR IT,
AND IT'S HALLOWED IN A FEUD.

BUT IT'S ONLY RETAINED WHEN
IT'S SENT, LIKE SOMETHING SPOKEN.
IT'S NOT "WORD" ALONE FOR THEN
IT'S "THIRD PLACE" WOULD BE TOKEN.

ALSO ADD TO THAT "THE LAST",
BUT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN HEARD FIRST.

What is this thing?

for loving our wives

QUICK..., SLOW.., SLOW...

"Remember this, my dear brothers! Everyone must be quick to listen, but slow to speak and slow to become angry. Human anger does not achieve God's righteous purpose. So get rid of every filthy habit and all wicked conduct. Submit to God and accept the word that he plants in your hearts, which is able to save you.  Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice. If you listen to the word, but do not put it into practice you are like people who look in a mirror and see themselves as they are. They take a good look at themselves and then go away and at once forget what they look like. But if you look closely into the perfect law that sets people free, and keep on paying attention to it and do not simply listen and then forget it, but put it into practice—you will be blessed by God in what you do.  Do any of you think you are religious? If you do not control your tongue, your religion is worthless and you deceive yourself. My dear brothers let
everyone of you
not ever forget
but prove to be True,

the Way of Life which
(or should I say “who”?)
came here as “the stitch
in Time” (which then “flew”),

mod’ling the culture
of Eternity;
(unlike a vulture)
gives its self to feed;

gets its food from light
& wind that it breathes,
water (out of sight)
is sucked up by trees;

thus they make their food,
happily share their fruit.
God's plan is not rude,
quite complex, and “beaut.”

I recall him clear:
quick (as wolf, or cat)
to listen, & hear,
& not only that,

listens actively,
not passive, though “still”,
not just “fact-ively”,
“feelingly” until

“living listening”
was his clear trademark.
God's word glistening
in his ear to start,

his ear “ringed” – (a slave),
& to others too
listening love behaved
as a man who's true.

Words were carefully saved,
not quickly let out,
thus his road was paved,
“slow to speak” - no doubt.

Words were to “build up”
and convey true love
so questions filled up
instead of angry shoves,

well, slow to anger
not quick fused from self's
rights violated,
his anger had health,

and was born of love,
as this one was sent
& borne from above:
“QUICK..., SLOW.., SLOW...” it went!

Instead of just words
good acts have to come;
corruption (this World's)
swept out; “all”, not “some”.

A Prayer in a Marriage celebration (that is both English and German)

You now have the chance to participate in a very short prayer.

1) God made all things good. At a marriage we especially remember that SEX was made by God, and is a good gift!

2) We're going to take one step further the afirming Hebew word "Amen" which is often said at the end of prayers. Join me in saying, instead of "Amen": "Hooray!"

3) The clue is; INSTEAD of "SEX", we're going to say "Hooray!"


God we thank you for this day

We know love’s a tenuous,
fragile, living, thing;
yet as roots break apart rocks,
it has power to bring

one united empire down,
or grow two to one;
it makes patriotism frown,
its joy (more than “fun”)

can make “Father” or “Mother”
act like “horse” or “lion”,
make silly sounds. or smother
their own laughs. Sublime,

it doesn’t play for applause,
but to give pleasure;
it learns when to move, or pause,
to build its treasure.

But when speaking of “love’s laws”
it’s a kind of joke;
some don’t “get it” now because
they hain’t learned to poke

fun at themselves, and laugh lots
at their own pretence.
And love treasures (more than pots
of gold) “others”, hence
