roads or rails to move in/on; HOPES, IDEALS, REVELATION

We want our ideals

to help us move on

- roads (or rails) for wheels

with guide/convention.

Things which keep us on

the way as rails do;

pre-laid by a gang,

trained, though few, the crew.

Or else we could move

in a bus "on road"

-does not keep in groove

or rail, with its load.

Smaller yet a car,

two to ten people.

One must be driver.

As driver we pull-

-up, and fill the fuel,

take off at the lights,

drive our car to rules

keep folk safe at nights.

More drivers, more needs,

more knowledge and skill

to keep to safe speeds,

so won't maim or kill.

To remember in

the dark, when we don't

see. What has been seen

before, but now won't.

Such constraint, a track -

roads or rails and like

saves us turning back

from cliff edge or dyke.

Thinking of "Cox's Road",
West of Sydney town,
to Bathurst it showed
many folk new ground.

Others before us

did the work and we

travel with less fuss

foll-o-wing that lead.

Or it could be we

who've worked there before.

Reveal/seal the way

to help move & score.

We want real ideals
