that old old story - on reflecting*

Ȃdarm lets Eve be the wise

human initiator,

with this stranger who defies

the core of what Ȃ said to her.

I reckon he should've spoke

up, butted in and said “Hey,

if 'God lies', as says this bloke,

"Snake" might just speak fake today!”,

but he did not, and you know

the tragic tale for Ȃdarm#

the deathly outcomes that show

our zombie life that brings harm.

The living ground which birthed plants

now has as ruler, a nit,

one who can’t nakedly dance,

zombies that use, & rape it.

“What of the Earth?” - you enquire.

Cursed! - since the Ȃdarm# who rules

is ruled by changing desire

(‘stead of served), now we are fools!

Fools, we’ve exchanged the glory

of the next step Yahweh named,

for our “consumer story”;

where bullying’s paid off, not shamed.

Boy am I glad that a son

of Ȃdarm, better than Cain,

came to this Earth as the One

Leader - a boon, not a bane!

# looking at the footnotes in the above reference explains that 1) the Hebrew word here put as Adarm is both the name of the first male, human, and also the name for Humanity ( ... male & female, God created Adarm), and also 2) sounds like the Hebrew word for ground/earth, for the Adarm was made from the ground/earth ie. (as Madeleine L'engle puts it in her book of reflections on faith & art: "human from humus").
