Moving (forward) mindset

Therefore, as God’s picked people, in this world,

made holy for the purposes he chose,

and set apart (equipped) as one who's  curled

in foetal fashion, dearly loved. The clothes

you put upon yourself, see that they  serve

those purposes - en-a-bling you to show

off what your God is like. See you don’t swerve

from deep compassion, kindness, & the go..

like humble-ing yourself (a Jesus-deed),

then gentleness and patience, puting up

with others*, and forgive as folk have need -

just as the Lord forgave you, filled your cup.

to flowing over all these - put on love,

which binds them all together in the way

such proper growth is meant to “from above”.

The one-ness of a thriving garden space.

The garden of the Christ must be the rule

within your hearts, since you are all a part

of that whole ecosystem. Don’t be fooled,

remember you’re one body, no upstart.

You’re called to thrive together, that’s shalom.

So thankfulness describes the overall..

..the process, where the message of Christ comes

& dwells among you richly as you fall

in step with one another. Help & teach

each other with all wisdom through the psalms,

& hymns, and songs the Spirit sings through each

back to the God with gratitude in arms

raised with your hearts. And everything  you do,

in deed or word, do all as though his child,

who bears the name of Jesus deep in you,

and thanks the God and Father as Christ  styled.

Colossians 3:12-17

12Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. * “Bear with each other”, or “put up with each other”; what does this mean? And how do you do it rightly, in the way of love? A poem & an exploration
