God save him from his sins and those that claim
him as their own - to have as food and drink.
We claim a deeper ownership, by name,
the one who gave us speech, to claim and wink.
Whose language is more primal, thus more deep,
more underneath of all existence we
know of and whose picture is stamped and seeps
through all, and then whose name's on us that be
in your fam'ly; Oh what a precious thought.
And this boy's in his Dad's by stroke of lore,
his Dad & I claim him for one who's bought
by precious payment, please protect him more.
