A prayer to who’s there

just now, as we share

A man who has shared sim’lar times in life 

to me, and us, who’ve loved this leader Christ

and feels just now some distance (‘coz of strife)

and darkness, coz misinderstanding’s spliced

into his felt existence, now-a-days;

needs shining warmth from sun of love and light

and thank you God for your acts, which we praise.

Your shining self does often dispell night!

And for our fam’lies grieving in this world..

whoever wants to be there in their shoes?

But God has been right where they have been hurled,

and broken hearted felt, and sung the blues.

And people who’re connected with us each

through things that may seem flukes to most folk round

-  like where we live, and shop, and how we reach 

out for some help, and what help has been found..

And who has gone ahead, and those misled

by hypocrites and power mongers both,

what languages are used, and words all read

(miss) understood or not, and kept in trōth.

For all these sad and grievous things we pray,

the grace we’ve seen within the eyes of you

may truly be more spread, and we would say

we want our lives, and ev'rything we do

to join in with your life of love and care,

as partners (though we're juniors, it is true).

So how on earth can we join - in your air,

on ground of all our being… join with you?
