Absorb/Reflect Horror/Wonder

[Some folk bring horror to life! Others bring wonder to life! (even to others')]

Folk are 2 wonder,

but also 2 dread,

’s well as accept, or

deny, THE MAN said.

Of these responses

no one is the right

one 2 put on, says

he, 4 the next night.

Each moment needs one,

or each new event,

that combination

of choices thus spent,

would call 4 (or do),

responses that help

cling 2, or eschew,

that course 4 this whelp.

Sometimes the event

that calls 4 response,

is more of a “bent”

in our hearts, all at once

seen newly, we’re shocked,

we know something’s weak,

sometimes we feel “rocked”,

“broke-en” - so 2 speak.

Sometimes our  choices,

(4 us, or 4 them),

and sometimes it’s theirs

that show “Beth le hem”..

A place of wonder

extr’ordin’ry bliss,

sky’s ripped asunder..

but something’s amiss;

the human “Welcome”

is largely “not there”,

a jealous kingdom

’s not willing 2 share

or have a new King,

we’d keep our old ways,

so kill all babes in

that Bethlehem place.

O God, I must ask

(though they’ll think I’m weak),

I see now my task,

don’t just need “a tweak”,

I need your new King,

won’t be 2 busy,

I’ll show him on in-

2 dangerous. ’s he?
