“Other things” come into play

quite often, as we’ve heard;

like that talk that Black-Stump day,

when none would suit this bird, (points towards Camille).

until that boy, “The Lauchlan”,

walked right into the room;

then she realized that Lauchlan

Valley, she’d just come from,

and Lauchlan River ran past

not far from where she lived;

“The Lauchlan Spell” was just cast,

and “other things” had “gived”.

Lauchly & Camille tonight

have both become “our Kings”

not “King & Queen” (as seems right),

because of “other things”.

“Other things” come from above

and catch us by surprise

like a child’s or spouse’s love,

- right here before our eyes!

[1] On the occasion of Lauchlan & Camille King’s wedding at their breakfast, Saturday night 28/4/2012. We’d just heard stories from Les & Sophie about Lauchy & Camille’s first notices & meetings at Black-Stump etc, & witnessed what another guest said to me was the most beautiful wedding (& reception)  he’d ever seen.
