Oh God, please help your son we know as Neil

so though uncertainties are round about

and shortness of this breath of life he feels,

he may hold true to friendships, and not flout

commitments that have been his guiding light,

the knowledge gained by owning your love's name,

and learning to respond in kind, not shite

all over others, just because he’s pained.

Please give him grace to learn from you lament -

to live (& die) his heart pierced with a sword,

or maybe spear (which is a sword with length)

as one who had a heart, and wasn’t bored.

But truthing it with love, a human grows

up into that maturity that is

lived on this earth in way that Jesus shows

us will be full of glory like to his.

And that’s the way I think that Neil has picked

to settle in his heart of hearts and be

real grateful for the time of life that’s ticked

on by, and comes towards us each day - free!

His years here, shorter than for-ever-more

seem now to me, cut short (as seemed with Christ).

Recalling now the reason we’re here for:

reflecting glory to where it’s demised.

Then body number “three” (might not have blood, 

though flesh and bones are what disciples saw,

and heard, & touched, and held) - seems like a flood

of sensed-ness, to match what your kids implored.

*  Our “first body was basically “flesh and blood” (& cartilage), & although we had lungs and a blood flow system that could take our blood through them to oxygenate the blood, they weren’t used or even blown up, we had a gastrointestinal tract but it just collected dead skin cells and test secretions, we got our nourishment not through our gastrointestinal (GI) system, but through our umbilical cord, etc,

Our “second body” is the one that the first is transformed into at birth, with blown up lungs, a GI tract that starts to gain nourishment and produce poo, instead of marconium; after the next transformation humans who are connected to Christ are destined to gain & become their “third body”, like Jesus’ resurrected body, with flesh and bones, able to be touched and held, but no blood mentioned or leaking from holes in side & heart, or hands etc, able to eat and “disappear” food, could walk with, talk with, prep food for, and eat food with, but also was able to appear and disappear though all doors were locked… (Jesus’ Ambassador Paul, said “mortality will be swallowed up by immortality” - or that concept of coming out of this womb-world into the very life of Yahweh-God, the αἰώνιος ζωὴ (aionios zoé), that is not dependant on food, or air, but lives on, in, & through hesed (loyal-covenant-family-love) itself - that simply keeps its word.
