practicing praying for people

Please open up their hearts to your bright love, 
please help them become curious as well,
that minds might love the truth come from above
sent here to tantalise us with its smell,

and also that they might perceive goodness(!),
the kindness and the grace of Jesus Christ,
the signs of your creative pow'r. Impress
them to weigh carefully, not back a  heist!

Please open up my life & deeds to bear
clear witness, to the truth & love of God,
then opened thoughts and words could also share
your messages, and walk as Christ has trod.

With you, that came much after other things,
like healing and announcing, and then too
the asking of good questions that had wings
that sent them back to feeling out for you.

Please open wide the heavens up above
these dear ones so your spirit might come down
& woo them with the smells, sounds, sights of Love
and Truth that Jesus brought into our town.

gifts not earnings, lifts and journey-ings

Folk working out how to  invest money
that's given us by God, this day and age
are trying to invest in what's sunny
and yet will pay a dividend. Engage!

Good on you mate. Please help us God to use

resources like this money that we have

in ways that will make your heart glad. Refuse

to dance to this world's drum beat, or to nav-

igate from motives that come from the pit,

but rather gladly take what you provide

and use it rightly for you've given it

to now reveal (& sometimes yet to hide)

your own great love, which we have tasted well.

As good and faithful servants we would put

these gifts to work for love, save us from hell

where some feel safe from love's work that's afoot!

spirits, were released.

Jesus eye-balled glad-

ly learners (at least).

He spoke strange things to

those who listened up:

“Bless'ed are all who…”

and then “Woe!”’s erupt:

‘Blesst are you who

*  are poor, for your

  rule is much more -

  God’s rule’s in store,

  and that’s for sure!

Blesst are you who

*  are hungry now,

  you will somehow

  be satisfied.

  I have not lied!

Blesst are you who

*  weep now, for you

   will laugh, and do

   a dance then, when

   I come again.  

Blesst are you who

*  are hated by

   people who try

   to insult and

   “Dis-” Son of Man!

  Rejoice that day

  because a great

  reward’s in keep -

  so with joy leap.

  For that’s how their

  ancestors  cared

  for the prophets

  with no “Stop it!”'s.

“Woe to you who

*  are rich right now,

   comfort somehow

   already got,

   that's your whole lot!

Woe to you who

*   live now well fed.

   Life's more than bread,

   and you will be

   then, real hungry.  

Woe to you who

*   laugh now (no cares,

    with no “Bewares!”)

    Now, soundly sleep,

    then, mourn and weep.   

Woe to you who

*   are praised, admired,

   & thus inspired.

   For that is why

   false prophets try.

• If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other too.
• If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt too (be bold).

• if anyone takes  what belongs to you,     don't demand it back.  
• Do to others as  you would have them do  to you (you won't lack).

He went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there

and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured, and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.

divine spirit

When Moses had the job of building a..

a house, or rather tent, here for the Lord

to live on Earth and be near every day

his people, the old Israelites ... assured

God for this job, to help (he said), “the Lord

has called by name Bezalel Uri's son,

the …..son of Hur, of Judah’s tribe; he scored

a filling with the Spirit of the One

who made the Earth and Heavens as a home,

for God and man to live together well,

he hovered, with his hopes and dreams (and moans),

he made it “very good”, and not like hell!

He made it good - with every kind of craft,

with skill, intelligence, and knowledge too,

devised artistic things, he was not daft,

in metals, precious stones (lapis lazu-

li), and in carving wood. Inspired to teach,

Him and Oholiab (of tribe of Dan,

son of Ahisamach), God filled them each

with skills of every kind of artisan

and skilled designer. That spirit sufficed,

- is now the one that God has given his

new people who are following his Christ.

It’s done this all before, it’s quite a whiz!

It’s not a spirit of timidity,

or fear (just look at Christ who 'mbodied it),

but power, loving creativity,

and discipline of self, thrown in to wit!

united or untied?

So now we are united with the  Christ,

God’s mythic leader who was prophecied

for many years. And Jesus has sufficed

to say, met all the hopes and dreams denied

our race for leadership that really was

befitted to the name, and needs we had.

If he’s the one anointed now because

the Most High God was glad to be his “Dad”,

then, I would like to follow where he stepped.

And when I do I find a curious thing -

he leads me through where he taught and he wept

and to a cross where this one is hanging,

and then I see there’s others here with me,

I feel them to be brothers, sisters, kin.

We were all once without God, blind. We see

now since this Jesus knocked, and came within,

and brought a hope that grows and will not stay

down low, for now we have been brought to God,

for though it took his death, he who’s The Way,

he brought us to his peace, through ways he trod!

He brought us 'opposites' all into his,

one temple, house, one body, group of “cells”,

he led us then to die to self-ish-ness

by taking our own cross, he broke down hell’s

wall of hostility that separates.

O Lord, please show your ways and paths to me.

You've pointed out your Truth, taught loves and hates,

all in that Jesus Christ, creatively!

rule of love..

There's little summing-up clues

when you read between the lines,

of things left still to choose, who’s

to be loved round here in time!

Or sometimes even WHAT will

human love be spent on here?

The biggest issues here till

end of time, when he appears!

When he appears we're winning!

Not the end of time; but hey -

it’s only just beginning -

for then Love has come to stay!

And as he said there’s order

now in even who we love:

The First One is not border-

line - as sky is up above

beyond the earth, how much more

love from us is due to one

who gave us birth, whom we re-

flect, when we love as a son

or daughter of the Most High.

Tiny gods, that’s what we are,

who need to learn to love right,

chickens needing a mother…

That’s who would give us shelter

and protect us all the way,

to grow us out of hell to

bring us to his love one day!

Thinkin' of my two sisters and my brother...

Ol' life's been hectic these last few weeks here,
all comings, goings, learning and growing
so wisdom and skill could "Please now appear!",
and looking back now, I see them showing

up, helping us to observe and to think
to listen and do, what's lovely and true,
stretched to our limits, with just time to wink,
rememb'ring Dad-jokes, let good spirits do

what only they can, to save us from "sin" -
my self-centred man, who's grumpy and snaps,
and blames where he can. I don't want him in
the world (with his spam, not this kind of chap)!

Well, with all of this happ'nin' down here, like,..
Gave Katie a kiss, she's off a few days
on a "retreat" thing, or doing a hike,
keep up as ladies would do in their ways.

And what about you, your spouse and your kids?
It's great when we do hear what's happenin'.
And thanks for the news that makes it, and bids
me write or ring who's to life tappin' in!

Love

a matter to shatter..

There’s only one secure, and strong, safe place!!
It's found in God, who is real love - and some!!

He is the one who gives me strength to face

the battle, and the skill to overcome.

God’s Kingdom ain’t  a matter just of food,

or drink, to keep us going, but of life!

A life of goodness, peace and joy (not rude

ness,) in the Holy Spirit - when there’s strife.

And if you put these things first as you serve

God’s Christ, you'll find that you will please the God.

If God is standing with us, keep your nerve,

and tell me, who could stand where we have trod?

For as you seek, above all else, the reign,

the rule of God who only says what's true

and right. Then all these things (some would disdain),

you'll find then will be multiplied to you!

Refuse to worry, future things will come,

and you can deal with challenges as they

come on your way, and that is not so dumb,

a new day will come to you every day!!
