…k he said*…

The lover of my life, and health, & breath,

the lover of my wife, and self, in (death,

and) life upon this Earth; you’ve turned around

the way we speak of life, then death. You found

it necessary stuff, to start at cross,

(combining death with suffering as well

as shame, which often comes to us with loss

of self-determination (which brings Hell,

if self is the alone thing some speak of,

instead of teamed up with a larger way

of learning to relate with all around

as hemispheres in brain are teamed - & stay

in healthy human individu-al

where hemisphere that’s left’s not left at all,

though often-times it is allowed to stall

the impulse that right hemisphere would call

us too. “Right” stays around to suffer much

with one that would be left alone, by choice.

So that there is a chance for “Left” to trust -

- & veto less what “Right” has tried to voice.

So I, as hemisphere that’s “Left”, down here,

would kneel and give allegiance to my christ,

who through the influence of “Right” appears,

considering another way, suffice

ta say - the way of self-giving, khes’ed*.

I see your way more cle-ar-ly today

as I spend time with you, and see “as dead”

that separated, left a-lone-ly way.

d* - KHES’ED, is the Hebrew term, used in the Hebrew Bible; often translated into English as loyal love, loving kindness, faithful love, the love that is invoked for keeping one’s own word, in covenants. When the New Testament translates this word into the Greek word Agapé, it then takes our understanding further than saying that “God is loving”, and using symbol and metaphore, says starkly that “GOD IS LOVE”.
